Pakistan has put on another act in the ongoing show of military prowess between the South Asian nation and its neighbor India by successfully testing a new cruise missile, the Hatf VIII (aka Raad, or thunder in Arabic), which is designed to carry an array of different nuclear warheads.

BBC:

Tension between Pakistan and India has decreased in recent months amid a series of bilateral overtures.

The missile “has been designed exclusively for launch from a variety of Pakistan’s air platforms, providing these with a strategic stand-off capability on land and at sea,” the Pakistani military said.

“The Raad can carry all types of warheads and has an accuracy comparable to Pakistan’s longer Babar cruise missile,” the statement said.

Hey there, 1drees - name me ONE country where the “little people” have remained “unharassed by the likes of the USA.”

It seems to me, the USA will harass anyone they damn well please, including those to whom they’ve sold the armament.

===============

Almost EVERYTHING I’ve heard and read lately indicates that the PAKISTANI government is responsible for arming and directing the “insurgencies” in both Iraq and Afghanistan as well as sheltering bin Laden & Co.

So what the hell is Bush doing rattling sabres at Iran?

Oh ya… Pakistan has “the bomb” and Iran doesn’t.

The US GAVE Pakistan and India nuclear weapons capability, military aid, troup training and weapons!

The US and Rushia have given Iran and gave Iraq 100’s of MILLIONS in Military Aid, Myriad Arms, Nuclear Technology and Biological Weapons from the date of the Discovery of Oil & Gas to the present.

Bush is the most DESTRUCTIVE PRESIDENT in the history of America. Because most Americans are so incredibly Arrogant, Unethical and dumb as stumps, they deserve to lose their Democracy and watch their Republic come down around their heads!

Bush is a little twisted Fascist Thug and America is letting him get away with such behavior. He needs to be reigned in and CANCELLED!

I think King George is making them nervous.  Perhaps Bush could try a little diplomacy?  Just a little?

the globe is a very insecure place these days due to the reckless actions of a couple of governments, USA being one of the major culprits. its the recent unilateral permissions of actions, like the one used in IRAQ, has sent most of the nations scurrying around for better arms & hence better immunity from being suddenly targetted. So if you keep studying around you’ll notice everyone is developing BETTER arms nowadays. RAE, the “little people” might not appreciate wasting money on arms BUT THEY DO CERTAINLY LIKE BEING ALIVE AND UNHARASSED by the likes of USA.

I’m sure all the “little people” of the countries involved appreciate living without even the basic necessities because their governments need the money to build yet another missile system.

This is insanity’s finest hour.
