Massive Floods Threaten Millions in South Asia

Floodwaters are threatening the lives of millions in South Asia, drenching parts of northern India as well as Bangladesh and Nepal, where aid organizations are scrambling to bring in food and other assistance before hunger and disease claim more lives.


BBC:

Initial government figures say at least 125 people have been killed in India in recent days, and around 64 in Bangladesh.

It means that more than 1,000 people have died across South Asia since the start of the annual monsoon in mid-June.

The number of dead is expected to rise sharply as news comes in from more remote areas. An estimated five million hectares of farm land is under water.

You need to realize, this could be you.  So, at times, we “don’t want to hear anymore “bad” news.  But folks, this isn’t “bad” news as in political.  These people need help.  That’s all you need to know.  I’m taken aback at the disingenious response to this calamity.  What, are these not people to the rest of you?  I’ve got news, they are.
