Chief Justice Has Mysterious Seizure

Chief Justice John Roberts was hospitalized Monday (and released Tuesday) after experiencing a seizure, his second. Doctors were unable to find a cause in either case, leading one neurologist unrelated to the episode to observe: “Having two seizures so many years apart without any known culprit is going to be very difficult to figure out.”

AP:

Chief Justice John Roberts is spending part of his summer vacation in a hospital bed after suffering a seizure in Maine.

Roberts, 52, had a similar, unexplained episode in 1993.

Doctors who evaluated the chief justice on Monday said the incident was a “benign idiopathic seizure,” meaning they found no tumor, stroke or other explanation. The seizure caused Roberts to fall on a dock and he sustained minor scrapes, Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said.

[Roberts was released from the hospital on Tuesday.]

“You people are sick.  And nuts to boot.  No wonder why the left is out of touch.”

In order for me to get the full meaning of your post I must have definitions for “You people”  “The left” and “out of touch”

Thank you in advance.

•  I heard that Roberts was forced to actually look at the constitution and had a seizure as a result.  They’re doing this more with Bush’s cronies, as a way to deter them from doing it in the future.
No Goff, This is what happened to Gonzo. Way back during his first “preparation” sessions for his first “appearance” they tried to force him to actually read the constitution, and that’s how his hair got so much bigger.

Roberts, on the other hand, has far more experience with the Constitution. So, I think there’s something else going on here. There’s something spooky about ALL of these dudes having these medical issues come up every weekend, for the past three.. We started with the shrubs colonoscopy, and then the next week, cheney was in to have his hardware swapped out, and now Roberts (the Chief Justice) has a trip to the hospital as well. In MAINE, no less, where the whole Cabal has their Summer Compound. Kind of like their headquarters.

So, I’m thinking this is just part of a project to get all of them “programmed” and properly synchronized.

Now Todd thinks we’re all sick, and nuts, and out of touch. There is probably some truth to that, but unfortunately, I think we’re more “in touch” than out of it. It’s just that the reality is so bizarre, (stranger than fiction) that in recognizing it, we DO seem like the ones who are “out of touch”.

That’s the paradox we’ve lived in, for at least 7 years.

Meantime, I doubt very seriously if there was any stroke of conscience going on here. Roberts has helped us move about 50 years back, and that has nothing to do with conscience.

Probably just an alergic reaction.
Maybe he ran into an honest man when he was in town.

Or, an inner ear infection.
What’s been buzzing in there anyway?

Or maybe ardee’s right.
Maybe the cause was the least likely of all ...
an attack of conscience!

But I doubt it, he’s probably been fully immunized.

Todd,

Go read some of the posts on the Hannity.com forums.  Then tell me who is out of touch.  Big difference between humor and hate.

Believe it or don’t, he’s actually one of the less nutcase Bush appointees.  Perhaps the “seizure” was just a way of reminding him to keep to the party line.  Better than being forced to go on a shooting trip with Cheney, maybe.

Gosh, golly, gee whiz!

I have no empathy, sympathy, or interest in that man maintaining his health.

Unfortunately for the American people, even “retired” justices are taking to the soapbox to prevent Constitutional rights of citizens.

Sandra Day O’Connor seems to have made it her goal to fight judicial accountability with the usual legal tactics ... misrepresentation, misleading, and innuendo.

Before you have a legal crisis in your life (you’d be surprised the statistics on who in this country will, and it rises yearly), check out the following articles…
