Multiple car bombings killed at least 50 Iraqis in Baghdad on Wednesday as thousands celebrated a victory in the Asian Cup that advanced Iraq to the finals for the first time.

CNN:

Car bombers targeted throngs of Iraqis on Wednesday as they spilled into Baghdad streets to cheer a national soccer victory, killing at least 50 people and leaving scores more wounded.

Attacking revelers in the Mansour district of western Baghdad, a suicide car bomber killed at least 30 people and wounded 75, an Iraqi Interior Ministry official said.

Later, in the southeastern neighborhood of Ghadir, a second car bomb killed at least 20 and wounded at least 60, the official said. The attack is near an Iraqi army checkpoint.

Wait, so let me get this straight:  Iraq beats South Korea in a shootout AFTER and WHILE the United States bombs the living bejesus out of Iraq?  When, in the history of this world, has a country ever, ever, ever received a handicap like that?  This can’t be attributed to bad luck or any superstition; from here on out, I return my Korean race card.  It is a sad day for all Koreans.  What a stupid shame.

I wish someone could tell the insurgents that all the killing they are doing to their own people isn’t making a lick of change in the US government, the US economy, or in the lives of americans in general (other than those families who have lost relatives in iraq).

What a terrible thing, especially when the country must be craving something to feel joy about.  Only to have it blown up, literally.

We have no idea of the horrors that are daily life in Iraq.
