According to an ABC News report, Taliban military officer Mansour Dadullah claims that plans are in the works for large-scale terror attacks.  Dadullah delivered his ominous message to a reporter in Pakistan, where al-Qaida and Taliban operatives are said to be gaining in strength and numbers.

ABC News’ “The Blotter”:

Taliban military commander Mansour Dadullah, in an interview broadcast on ABC News’ “World News With Charles Gibson,” said the London attacks were “not enough” and that bigger attacks were coming.

“You will, God willing, be witness to more attacks,” he told a Pakistani journalist in an interview conducted just four days ago.

Just last month, Dadullah presided over what was termed a terror training camp graduation ceremony in Pakistan, supposedly dispatching attack teams to the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Germany.

Once again with the Chertoff gut feeling the culture of fear is being spun by this dreadful Republican executive administration.  The contempt for the people of the USA is jolting once again. What is it going to take for the bulk of Americans to wake up?  There are those who keenly perceive the evil going on in Washington. That terrorists are real, that terrorists want to do Americans and others in the world, Brits, Australians, et al, extreme harm is real and no one in this country is complacent about it and Chertoff is doing the exact bidding of his political party, in particular his president and current administration (VP and Cabinet with the help of all the Republicans in Congress and the Supreme Court).  The Republican party is scared shitless about the next election.  Not only will they deservedly lose the presidency, but they will lose even more Congressional seats, both senate and house.  They owe it all to their fanatic and megalomaniac president.  Americans are losing consititutional protections left and right. The many are asleep. The delusional one is winning. How shall we defeat our malevolent monarch?

It may be relevent to note the difference between the British methodology and our own with regards to acts of terrorism.

Britain, with a long history of threatened violence, does not create a new and unwieldy bureaucracy to deal with said threats. It instead treats the matter as a police action, it investigates, pursues and aprehends. Inexpensive, competent and successful.

Never fear…Homeland Security is near.

Granted they couldn’t stop a boatload of Hatian refugee’s from coming ashore, and all the arrest’s made in “foiled terror plot’s” came from an alertcitizen and a drug dealer wanting an easy out.

But Duhbya is protecting America, so we are safe. My ex-Marine friend says he hasn’t felt this safe since Beruit. Hmm, maybe that wasn’t the right one to bring up…

But at least Rick Sanitarium (sic) will be happy if they do attack. Teach them Key Stoner’s to vote him out.

When there are too many questions, too many investigations or a campaign not going well, it’s time for the GOP to play the “FEAR CARD” once again.
I’m glad that the U.S. Rock, Paper, Scissors championship and Nathan’s Hot Dog eating contest were determined prior to the next terrorist attack. Choosing between the absolute bullshit, fear and celebrity “news” stories our media has converted our country’s sellivision viewing into is way too much for me to contemplate so I just don’t watch it anymore.
I’m far more afraid of our own corporate government than any terrorist bogeyman they conjure up. The Bu$h Inc. mantra should be if it isn’t already - “Fear equals control”. They certainly use it as much as possible.

OK, so another terror group has given another interview to another news corp. And another think tank has warned us of coming horror. And another neo-con has met with another president to demand he do something about the other terror group and the other think tank has said we know, but we cant do anything about it.
Or something like that.

Now, if they know where the other terror group is and they know what the other terror group is doing and they know the only thing keeping them from going after ‘them’ is this other president ... why don’t they just stir up some unrest and get that other president thrown out of office?

Hmmm. I think that may be happening.

Here’s a thought. Why not let ABC go get ‘em.
Or that think tank. They know where ‘they’ are.
Gees they ought to be good for something!

But quicker, and better still.
Why don’t we just bomb that other terror group out of existence?

The president in Iraq didn’t stop us.
So what are we waiting for?

Oh, I forgot. Pakistan has the bomb.

Iraq didn’t.

Iraq didn’t have a terror group either.
But they sure do now!
Way to go George!

Besides, if we just bombed every terror group out of existence every time ABC or some think tank found one ...
George would run out of war!
We cant have that now can we.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the “queasy” feeling in Michael Chertoff’s gut?

Americans, brace yourselves!

The Trifecta

Remember Georgie saying that he’d hit the trifecta after 9/11?

Remember Georgie telling his biographer, while still governor of Texas, that his father had wasted an opportunity and that, were he President he would use a war to get his entire agenda pushed through?

It should be obvious that this “war on terror” is no different than the “war on drugs” with respect to its primary goal being the enriching of the few at the expense of the many.

A secondary but equally important result of fear mongering is to cow an electorate into accepting the suspension of its rights and allowing the control of the nation to pass to the corporations instead of remaining with the will of the people. Bush has used 9/11 to bypass the law and the needs of all Americans, and , most importantly, we continue to let him do so…shame on all of us.

Ya know Dale,

You’re so right. I’m having to classify this as the same hyperbole attached to Chertoff’s “gut” guarantee, that we’re gonna have another attack for the summer. In other words, we should “plan” on it.

Meantime, behind the fragments of this old recycling pattern that we’ve come to see so frequently, of countering bad political news with a new “terror threat”, (or a few) who knows WHAT the hell the REAL terrorists, might actually be up to.

At this point in the Orwellian adventure that has become our “Collective American Experience” WE don’t even know how much to believe of the alleged build-up of al-Qaeda resources. It certainly makes sense, based on the fact that these assholes here in DC have PROVIDED the ideal conditions for such growth to occur. And, one can’t help but wonder if these conditions weren’t INTENTIONALLY created by the Cabal, just as the sectarian conflict in Iraq has been engineered by Cheney and Assoc.

I say it has to be intentional, just because too many people have predicted ALL of this, long ago. It was simple enough, to go down the list of things that could possibly come from such agressive military action against other countries. And, over 5 years later, that’s what we’ve got.

Chaos now reigns. And, any time it seems like things might be coming to the surface, to help folks figure out what’s REALLY at the root of all this, they make-up another terror scare. If we ever came under a real threat, nobody could be warned, because nobody believes this stuff any more, (especially the younger generation, since they have really figured this out sooner than the rest of us).

Still, look how awful that is. We really have no way to respond to any attacks. There is absolutely NO RECENT indications, that we, here in the US, have any plan whatsoever, to use in the event of any sort of an attack, be it a hostile aggression from another nation, a terrorist attack, or a natural disaster.

We can’t handle hurricanes; even with the most advanced technology in the world, that TELLS US they’re on the way, and even what damage they will do. And yet…look at the results of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Look at the (pictures) of the former WTC. We didn’t seem “prepared” for that either. (at least not most of us).

So, while the white house theme team spits out all of these dire warnings, (which may or may not have a grain of truth) we are all damn sure “on our own”, if any one of these disasters should actually occur. They haven’t offered any “suggestions” to how we might avoid these things, and they never do. But, it does serve to “scare everybody up”, and that detracts attention from all of their current and on-going crimes. The public attention is easy to divert, and they’ve been yanking us along like this for 7 years.

Here’s a scary history of the fear-mongering cycle.

This threat is probably hyperbole, but such attacks will come eventually if George Bush persists in running a giant cauldron of recruitment and training of Jihadists in Iraq and Afghanistan; and as long as he ignores the build-up of al Queda in Pakistan; not to mention their long standing safe haven in Saudi Arabia.
