Egypt Bans Female Genital MutilationPosted on Jun 28, 2007Female genital mutilation, known euphemistically as “female circumcision,” has been banned completely in Egypt following the death of a girl. Although a soft ban has been in place for 10 years, some studies estimate that 90 percent of Egyptian women have had the procedure. Government and religious leaders have joined in condemning the practice.

#82286 sunken ship must refer to the HMS Fowey. The same protection for boys? Actually, male circumcision is protection for boys. Inform yourself on its various medical benefits!

Cyrena, since I assume you are not a male, I’ll partially reveal step 3 of the up-to-now secret master women’s lib plan:
It involves surgically implanted dildos and male nosectomies. (Technically, Rhinectomies, a non-standard evolutionary mutation)
Sit down on a face and muse about that. (Speaking about cutting off noses to spite faces)

Im a sunni , and i live in a sunni country and we do not have circumcision in Algeria , morocco, tunisia, nor in Libya . the first time i heard about female circumcision i was 17 , on a french Magazine . i was outraged . Ask sunnis from the Middle east too , they dont circumcise their daughters . but i know a lot of countries in Africa somalia and egypt still do , even among christians in Egypt . such a vile tradition that should have ended a long time ago. Iknow they had banned it 10 years ago in egypt but people still continued it . I hope this time they ll get punished severely for it .

While I applaud this measure, I wonder why they ban all forms of female circumcision, including the sunna circumcision, which doesn’t remove the clitoris, just the hood. This circumcision is analogous to male circumcision, which is widely practiced in Egypt.
If all forms of female circumcision have been banned, they should offer the same protection to boys.

...."And as soon as Egypt has a woman president, in a hundred years or so, she’ll sign a ‘Presidential Signing Statement’, making male castration mandatory.
That’ll be step 2.”....
TDoff....I had to giggle at the thought, since it -would- be fun to entertain the notion for a moment or two....mandatory male castration.
But in the end, that would be another ideology of cutting off our female noses to spite our faces, and most women are smarter than that. (smile)
Still, we have to be careful about putting these ideas in some heads. Imagine a gang of women running with surgical weapons to perform these mass male castrations. Then you’ll REALLY know that we’ve all slipped back to barbarity.

This is a good first step.
And as soon as Egypt has a woman president, in a hundred years or so, she’ll sign a ‘Presidential Signing Statement’, making male castration mandatory.
That’ll be step 2.
Since some of you readers are male, I won’t get into the details of the rest of the steps of the women’s lib master plan.

I’m not sure who or what to yell my thanks to, for this monumental success of human reason over ignorance. So, I’ll just say Amen. It’s been slow, but it’s coming. This proves it.
