Spielberg Backs HillaryPosted on Jun 13, 2007
In the latest round of “Divvying Up (Democratic) Hollywood,” presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton emerges triumphant, having landed a very big fish indeed: überdirector Steven Spielberg. A campaign information source for Clinton, HillaryHub.com, confirmed Spielberg’s choice on the website on Wednesday.

It is an amazing thing about Hollywood types and the reporting that follows. If Steven Spielberg were giving his opinion on how to direct or produce a movie I think we should listen but to give space to who he is backing for President is a waste of space. It is like asking the Pope about sex.

I’ve certainly read a lot of criticism re: Hillary at Truthdig (you guys seems bent to destroy her). But she really is best qualified to restore U.S.’s battered image throughout the world (with the help of her husband).
Report thisAs far as the candidate with the strongest character and who WOULD resolve U.S.’s deficits, social security, healthcare I’d say Mitt Romney is the ticket here. He’s got a proven record outside of the political arena. I’ve been a staunch Democrat all my life, but for him I’m willing to cast my vote. He’s got heart, charisma, intelligence, is articulate, has a strong family and integrity. A rarity in Washington.

i think SS should both get out of the movies and certainly get out of politics. the man was talented but always had ZERO TASTE both creatively and now with his political backing of HC.
correction: Sugarland Express was his most artistic movie, but i suspect the DP was directing........Hillary will further push us into the hole..........

This is just an example of the neocon-zionistas covering all the bets, some for Barack, some for Hillary, (it’ll be fun to watch which zionistas are assigned to ‘back’ Romney and Giuliani, just in case Diebold gets their act together this time), in order that no matter who ‘wins’ the presidential ‘race’, they’ll be beholden to the ‘Israel Uber Alles’ gang.

I think that is concerning that Mr. Spielberg, with his mega bucks chooses to back a pro Iraq war involvement candidate: Ms. Clinton.
I am hoping that every parent, every sibling, every person who cares about the lives of human beings sees through this support by Spielberg. Ms. Clinton most likely supports attacking Iran. Terrifying. Damaging. The United States needs to take care of its own problems at home and should there be any funds left in the budget to spend them on caring for the poor around the world. This outrageous-egregious war mongering must stop. I encourage Truthdig readers to support only candidates who are not beholden to big money. Whether that big money comes from Spielberg, Enron, or others like Abramoff. Only we Americans can stop this continual bombing and illicit occupation of other sovereign nations. Stand up to big money - just say NO !!

I’ll say one thing about Spielberg--he’s got a lot of money.Just the kind of guy Hillary would go after.

what a suprise. She’s a war hawk and lover of Aipac. Where does he get that she is respected worldwide? She sold her soul many years ago.

Spielberg backing Clinton is like two whores deciding to do business together. Hillary can be known as the first Madam and Spielberg her pimp.

Do we give a crap who Spielberg backs? I sure don’t. Hollywood is completely predictable and politically ignorant.

Please don’t say those things.
I can’t stand Richard Perle, AIPAC, the Neocons and those right wing Israeli thugs. But I don’t think it’s fair to mix up all those creeps with Jewish people in general who do exercise the option to THINK.
By the way, I’m not Jewish.

E.T. phone home - Hillary is a strong leader and is respected the world over. As president, she will bring America back together, rebuild our prestige abroad and ensure our protection here at home.
The fantasy never ends in Hollywood does it. Stick to the movies Steven, where people almost never die making them and every mistake can be fixed with another take or some great editing.
