Both Turkey and Iran belong to the D8 so they can not get involved in Bush’s war...all they(Turkey)can do is defend themselves against the Kurdish seperatists.
Report thisWe are marching into Iran of course after we disable some key areas, which are being marked systematically by some intrepid agents...but this is some tin foil hat logic.

The moron in chief is at it again.First trying with all his might to restart the cold war and now war with Turkey.Someone earlier said unintended consequences. If you did not know that the Turks will not put up with an independent Kurd satate on their border you are living on Mars.Everything that happens in this horrible war for the moron in chief is an unintended consequence because this moron does not what his intentions are.If Hail Mary was a foreign policy this guy would be some success.

Since Iraq is now our “ally,” do we go to war with invading Turkey for invading the Kurdish province of Iraq?
On the other hand, Bush had offered Turkey $30 Billion dollars back in 2003 if they would just join his “coalition of the willing” he was assembling to invade Iraq. Perhaps the Turks were just slow getting moving.

I think attributing this to a Bushite plan is unrealistic. This is more along the lines of an unintended consequence ignored. There was a lot of ignoring of basically any possible negative consequences of OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom for the uninitiated) going around. They didn’t allow anything that might detract from the case for war to be discussed.
Hopefully, this is as they say, “just an incursion”. Until now the Iraqi Kurds have been discounting the possibility of Turkish intervention. Maybe now they will be more careful in this regards.

This is the “spillover” that was intended all along. We’ve known for a few years now, that it couldn’t go any other way.
Once they began the bon fire in Iraq, and continued to pour the fuel, it was obvious that it was going to spread. That’s what fire does.
