Greg:  You point on Russians possibly being in the grave is taken and I don’t disagree with that.  I need to point out that when it came to Stalingrad, very few POWs were taken by the Germans.  They did on site executions.  That being said, what was Stalingrad is not near Odessa so bodies of those executed would be nowhere near Odessa.  Jews from Moldova were sent to the camps in Kiev and Odessa. 

As for the USS Liberty, it was a tragic event but many such cases of friendly fire have happened in the heat of battle.

Others claim that the attack was deliberate and premeditated. 1. As for my comment about the grave possibly being Russians and not Jews, that was based on the historical fact of the Battle of Stalingrad. If you look at the German Army Blitzkrieg towards Stalingrad, you will probably find they were Russian/Ukranian POW’s. The Germans had an immense logistical problem trying to feed and reinforce their front-line troops in Stalingrad, never mind any russian/ukranian POWs requiring food, guarding, etc.

3. Regarding the illegal and immoral 1967 Israeli preemptive attack against its neighbors, here’s a quote from one of your countrymen:

“Moshe Dayan, the celebrated commander who, as Defense Minister in 1967, gave the order to conquer the Golan…[said] many of the firefights with the Syrians were deliberately provoked by Israel, and the kibbutz residents who pressed the Government to take the Golan Heights did so less for security than for the farmland…[Dayan stated] ‘They didn’t even try to hide their greed for the land…We would send a tractor to plow some area where it wasn’t possible to do anything, in the demilitarized area, and knew in advance that the Syrians would start to shoot. When someone tells the truth about an Israeli atrocity, that person seeking the truth is attacked as being an “Anti-Semite” or Jew Hater, etc.

Why is that?  Is Israel afraid of the truth?

If you still don’t believe my posts, especially about the USS Liberty, perhaps you should take the time to writethe Secretary of the Army, who was responsible for overseeing the investigation. If you did, you might receive a reply that contained statements like this:

” Admiral John S. McCain Commandeer-in-Chief, U.S. Naval Forces, Europe, was authorized by his superiors to convene a Court of Inquiry into the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty.”

That court’s findings?  “The USS Liberty suffered an unprovoked attack by the Israeli air and naval forces in international waters off the coast of the UAR.
The US Secretary of State communicated to the government of Israel that the “attack must be condemned… for its reckless disregard of human life.”

After reading these truths, if you still refuse to open your eyes, then you are biased and naive.

Antwoine:  I am Maleseet Indian. Most of us hate “Native American”. But you can call me anything but late for dinner…Ha-Ha (old joke).  My people were not innocent “children of nature” as today’s press and “Americans are the worst” crowd want everyone to believe.  Apart from a few instances, “natives” were not slaughtered but were killed in battles initiated by “natives” so there weren’t mass graves.  If we as tribesmen cannot admit that we instigated a lot of the conflicts we will never get out of our victim’s mentality. 

Thousands of Acadians were banished out of Atlantic Canada by the Brits and put on ships that went to New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania.  They became slaves.  These were “whites”.  Yes there were white slaves.

Bill Clinton did nothing but pander to the “black” vote.  All lip service.  He advanced programs that did nothing but make the community more and more dependent on government hand-outs and continue the victim mentality.  I am a double minority in some states and have never taken “advantage” of the insulting affirmative action policies.  I am not a man if i cannot succeed on my own merits. I admit there are still some ignorant bigoted hicks left but the institutional barriers that onces barred “blacks” from achieving are gone.  If the US is so bad, why are their minorities, the least oppressed in the world?

Tom:  There has not been an a true offensive military action by Israel in the last 20 years against the so-called Palestinians. Actions have been in response . I advise you read the history of Palestine as well as military actions.  The “massacre” at Jenin not substantiated by the UN, Human Rights Watch and an investigation by the European Union.  It was a propaganda lies.  As for the iraqis murdered by the coalition, that is so ignorant of fact that it shouldn’t need a response.  Iif you would like to state some examples, I will be more than willing to rebut each.  Have there been mishaps? There have been.  Have you been in the military? If so, were you involved in armed conflict?  I don’t think you have any a valid point of judgment on mishaps or mistakes done during “the heat of battle” if you have not experience it.

I will address a few comments made by other posters that are either half-truths or inflammatory faux truths.

I am a history nut.  I am not Jewish. I lived in Europe for 15 years and in that time, traveled to more than 15 countries (including some Arab countries). My knowledge comes from independent research unbiased by the bigoted “teachings” of most university professors. 

It still amazes me when I hear this 50 year old anti-israeli propaganda being touted as fact.  Whoever repeats it is in the least ignorantly misinformed or at the worst knowingly passing distorted historical lies.

1.  Ukrainians are not Russians.  Ukrainians have always been a proud and independent people.  Prior to WW2, the Ukrainians resisted being swallowed into the socialist collective of Stalin.  Stalin in turn killed more than 8 million Ukrainians by confiscating all crops and starving the population. (fact: 80% of all produce in the Soviet Union came from the Ukraine).
2.  As has been acknowledged by the US Department of the Navy, was notified to not have any ships within coastal waters.  The USS Liberty was in the wrong area. According to radio communications, spotter planes could not identify nationality of the ship after numerous passes.  Being that the US had been notified, there was no reason that it shouldn’t be anything other than an enemy ship. 

3.  Prior to the “illegal” preemptive 1967 war, the surrounding Arab countries had amassed troops and equipment on the borders of Israel.  While Nasser continued to make speeches threatening war, Arab terrorist attacks grew more frequent. In 1965, 35 raids were conducted against Israel. In 1966, the number increased to 41. In just the first four months of 1967, 37 attacks were launched. Nasser was fully aware of the pressure he was exerting to force Israel’s hand. The day after the blockade was set up, he said defiantly: “The Jews threaten to make war. I reply: Welcome! We are ready for war.“8
  Nasser challenged Israel to fight almost daily. “Our basic objective will be the destruction of Israel. The Arab people want to fight,” he said on May 27.9 The following day, he added: “We will not accept any…coexistence with Israel…Today the issue is not the establishment of peace between the Arab states and Israel….The war with Israel is in effect since 1948.”
  At that point, Israel had no choice.  If you don’t see that, you are biased and naive.

Once again filled with half-truths.  Study Ukrainian history a little more and your house of cards will come down.  You can credit a few for certain actions.  But the history of Ukrainians fighting for independence shoots down some of what you claim.  Facts:  Ukraine had the most underground movements to subvert both the Nazis and Stalin ALL AT THE SAME TIME.  Don’t forget, the Nazi party was Nationalist Socialists.  Most of today’s antisemitism in the Ukraine stems from the socialist propaganda both Nazi and Soviet (Stalin).

Considering the fact that upwards of 30 million Russians died defending their country during WW II, it’s no surprise that more mass graves aren’t found.

During that war, Israel brutally attacked a US ship in international waters, killing 34 of our service people and wounding close to 150.
The Israeli’s even machine-gunned the survivors escaping in lifeboats.
