FBI Foils JFK Bomb Plot

Four men, including a former cabinet minister from Guyana, have been arrested for plotting to bomb the jet fuel pipeline at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport. They never got beyond the planning and research stage, but the FBI was able to gather fairly incriminating evidence. Once again, investigation and police work have managed to thwart terrorism where stealth bombers and tanks have failed.

BBC:

The four men are charged with conspiring to bomb one of the busiest airports in the United States.

It was “one of the most chilling plots imaginable,” US Attorney Roslynn Mauskopf told a news conference.

“Had the plot been carried out, it could have resulted in unfathomable damage, deaths and destruction.”

The pipeline is 40 miles long and carries jet fuel from New Jersey and through the New York boroughs of Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens.

It is refreshing to see that there are others out there (including Americans) who are not swallowing this BS either.  Here in Australia there was the one report and then nothing!  Unusual to say the least, usually the networks regurgitate this stuff ad nauseum for days.  I was so glad the first report I heard had all the facts and details in the one hit and I didn;t have to wait for details to develop over a few days. If only all real world events were so neat!

Since that one day there has been nothing more.
What I want to know is what is this JFK thing hiding?  When we had the liquid explosive debacle it was timed to save Blair giving back Africa its credit at the G8.  Now of course we can;t even take baby bottles of formula on a plane as it could be a liquid explosive component that when I went through bomb school (in the Army) used to require a hell of a lot more effort and material than that!  Must be the digital version!

Guyana?  Let’s leave that there.  As someone mentioned, what has happened to the Florida 7?  How about the idiot with the shoe bomb?  David Hicks is finaly out of Guantanomo and back in Australia; living proof that being stupid can be time consuming! Is it true Bush passed a law in the USA that legitimises torturing prisoners?  Sad.
Keep disbelieving!

Well Louise - that’s quite a lengthy post you made.  But your statement “we still haven’t removed AQ/Taliban” isn’t an answer to my question.
Should we have removed them before 9/11, or waited until 9/11 took place?  Simple question, simple answer.

********* time to clear the air

AQ was/is a CIA asset (witting or unwitting, doesn’t matter), delivering terror or filling patsy roles, whenever and wherever needed, to advance the myth of Islamofascism and the Global War Of Terror.

Taliban were given $40 million just nine months before 9/11 to close the UNICAL pipeline deal that ultimately fell through, after which we got 9/11 and the Middle East invasion, which actually started with the occupation of military bases in the former Soviet Republics to the North, East and West of the Caspian Sea,  but which barely made it to the MSM.

The US Air Force has been excavating for the laying of the pipeline with bombs (literally) while the Taliban is refurbished, remaining a raison d’être for the planned permanent occupation of Afghanistan, part of the scheduled 100-year Global War Of Terror.

BTW, Saddam was not left in power after Gulf War ‘91 because of intelligence warnings. The former CIA asset-run-amok was left as the best boggy man at hand —  raison d’être to legitimize the long-term strategy of US military presence in the Middle East. Moreover, the only reason he was taken out is because he’d started selling too much oil, and the biggest sin of all: pricing it in Euros.

What a shame…I don’t believe it!!!

This government (I tend to be kind)is so full of deception and outright lies, I rarely believe a word out of their mouth.

Be afraid, be very afraid; because if you are not afraid, you will not believe us (the gov’t).  Then we can’t do as we please because you will question everything…hmmmmm.

Well, DUH!!!!!

God Damnit…“question authority”...remember your lessons from Nam?  Of course you don’t.  You get an “F” for this lesson!

People get the government they vote for…they deserve…learn what the “F” you’re voting for!!!!

“I would ask Truthdig whether removing AQ/Taliban from Afghanistan BEFORE 9/11 wouldn’t have been the better choice than removing them AFTER, had the intelligence been available.”

The intelligence was available, which is why in August, 1998 Clinton sent American cruise missiles to attack sites in Afghanistan and Sudan in retaliation for the August 7 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

Basing his actions on “convincing evidence” that bin Laden, who had been given shelter by Afghanistan’s Islamic rulers, was involved in the bombings of the east African embassies.

In Afghanistan, a spokesman for the ruling Taliban, Mullah Abdullah, said that “bin Laden was safe and no damage had been done to any of his companions.” Bin Laden had been living in Afghanistan with the permission of the Taliban, a fundamentalist Islamic group that controls most of the country.

Clintons Preemptive/retaliatory actions were to a man loudly condemned by the republicans in congress. The implication being careless destruction of a possibly wrong target could lead us to war. Strange.

[Of course we know now, what they were really saying is, “That’s OUR war! How dare you try to start OUR war!” Plans were in place, by this administration, to attack Afghanistan well before 9/11. Perhaps the current administration remembering how Clinton had been criticized for trying to stop attacks against our interests by a group of “radical fundamentalists” decided to wait until after 9/11, when a freighted public would clamor for war.]

Clinton defended his action by saying, “Let our actions today send this message loud and clear—there are no expendable American targets -There will be no sanctuary for terrorists. We will defend our people, our interests and our values.”

Richard Clarke, who helped shape U.S. policy on terrorism under Reagan and the first Bush,  was held over by President Clinton to be his terrorism czar, then held over again by the current Bush. He tried repeatedly to schedule a private meeting with Bush to warn/inform him of the Osama threat.

Clarke said White House officials were indifferent in their response when he urged them months before Sept. 11 to meet to discuss what he saw as a severe threat from al Qaeda.

“Frankly,” he said, “I find it outrageous that the president is running for re-election on the grounds that he’s done such great things about terrorism. He ignored it. He ignored terrorism for months, when maybe we could have done something to stop 9/11. Maybe. We’ll never know.”

But, I’m jumping ahead of myself.

Why didn’t Bush go after the Taliban and Osama before 9/11? Well it certainly wasn’t because of a lack of knowledge as they have tried to convince us. We really don’t know why, because true to form, straight answers on those issues have never been forthcoming from the Bush administration.

In any case, these and many other FACTS contribute to the notion that what happened on 9/11 may not have occurred quite the way the official story paints it.

But your question;  [Would] removing AQ/Taliban from Afghanistan BEFORE 9/11 [have] been the better choice than removing them AFTER, had the intelligence been available?

AQ/Taliban HAVE NOT been removed from Afghanistan. Nor has Osama been found.

When Bush and Company decided to leave Afghanistan and focus on Iraq (which had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11) they gave the Taliban and Al Qaeda time and opportunity to regroup, which they have. Therefore, no matter what this administration says, or wants us to believe. They have lost the wars they started on two fronts. Not much of a legacy. But then I suspect the money and the power is far more important to them than the legacy.

Just another fairy tale by the administration to scare the public. Remember the 7 in Florida? Have you heard anything about them since? Or how about those in Detroit? No trials, and now information give to the American people. Just more BS.

Expect one of these every few months. One may actually “go off,” as it were, if these “preventative” ops become too commonplace to adequately “agitate” the citizenry. If one does “go off,” look for the patsies to be either named or in custody within hours and the “plot,” fully detailed within days, just as we saw with 9/11. The Global War OF Terror is scheduled for 100 years — protection is the product, oldest one in the book; barbarians at the gates is the shill, oldest one in the book. The messenger says only what he’s told to say. All doubters are labeled village fools or sent to labor in the quarry — a dark age descends.

What “color” is the fear meter up to today? I guess we fight our “war on terrorism” in this country by having wide open borders. No one in the government is even questioned about why is this allowed to happen by the stooges we call the press. I guess it’s part of Bu$h’s strategy of “you can’t find them here unless we let them come here”. If you enjoy being manipulated then living in America is the place to be.
“1984” is alive and well. Our “free” press is ever eager to lap up and spit out whatever the Bu$hies tell them. Little or no investigation or follow up, just give the people a good headline now and then to keep them uneasy.

There sure are a lot of people here who are allowing truth to get in the way of a big story for the administration.  So what if these guys were just some more of the same old inept losers who didn’t have a clue how to carry out their attack.  It’s good practice for the thought police and maybe someday they will actually catch someone who has a clue.

What a crock!  Jet fuel doesn’t just explode when you throw a match on it.  Even if these losers had done more than just talk about blowing up JFK, they didn’t have a clue as to how to make this into a deadly event.  For the government to talk about this having the potential to be “bigger than 9-11” is quite simply, a filthy lie.

In my opinion, this is another pile of bullcrap peddled by the Bushies to stoke the fears of ignorant Americans about the “dangers of terrorism”.

Don’t buy any of this.  This is a bunch of nothing being proffered by a desperate, cratering Administration to try to keep themselves relevant.  By the way, I guess they are still attacking us “over here” even though we are attacking them “over there”.  We need to call them out on their filthy lies and misrepresentations.

Impeach and imprison Bush and Cheney!

And by the way, Jet “A” fuel is extremely stable and non-flammable the way it is stored and transmitted via underground pipes. So how were these “terrorists” planning to accomplish their mission?

In order to “explode” jet fuel, you need fire, oxygen, and a containment vessel. As we all know from watching CNN On 9/11/01, jet fuel not so contained burns with a big fireball for a few minutes until it is consumed. There is nothing that “blows uo”.

Could this be just another case of “Be afraid…be very afraid?”

At this point in time, after so many lies and so much over inflated “intellegence” information I for one wouldn’t believe this Administration if they were standing in front of tv camera on fire and said they were on fire. In any case this current spin is to justify their law breaking and trying to hype their protection of the country.

They want everyone to ignore the fact that 9/11 was allowed to happen by people not doing their jobs and politicians not paying attention to intellegence they were told about. We never needed home land security or a War Czar, we already had that. They were called National Security, Pentagon, CIA, FBI, etc. Adding another level of bureacracy doesn’t correct the problem, it only allows responsibility to be further confused. It worked so well for Katrina.

Strange things happen when you decide to make the “act of” the enemy rather than “the actor.”

In this case. the “act of” is terror and the enemy is anyone thought to be capable of, thinking of, speaking of, or knowing of anything that might result in any kind of harm or violence or damage or death or injury or threat to anyone.

That being the case. Anyone who ever gets angry or frustrated or feels slighted and/or expresses same to anyone or anything at anytime, anywhere is potentially a terrorist.

And, that being the case, our billion dollar federal, state, county, city and village industry designed to catch the bad guy in the event of a crime and bring them to justice, meaning they can be found guilty or not, is now bogged down by not only trying to catch a bad guy after the fact, but catch bad guys before the fact. Which in turn requires a whole new paradigm of investigation and thought process. Which in turn makes it much easier for the run-of-the-mill “bad guy” to pursue his chosen career of general terror and mayhem at will. Since the above mentioned billion dollar industry now focuses primarily on guys with beards, and possibly ties to Islam who are dumb enough to blabber on about this attack or that.

And that is why the national crime rate is going up, the level of unsolved cases is going down and the nation is going broke.

Meanwhile there appears to be at least two (Kucinich and Gravel) And now possibly Edwards, who have had the guts to indicate the Global War On Terror (GWOT) is bogus!

While all other “elected” officials stand valiantly in support of the valiant attack on phantoms, no doubt with an eye to keeping the status quo in place guaranteeing they, on being thrown out of office, will have a juicy job waiting for them working at any number of corporate enterprises benefiting from the burgeoning demand for all things being forced upon us as being determined essential to defeating the “terrorist” or “terrorism,” or winning GWOT.

Which in turn leads to ever increasing agencies and directors and “czars” who require ever increasing operational budgets, which allows for ever expanding career opportunities for ever increasing numbers of “properly” educated young people looking for same.

Which in turn leaves ever increasing numbers of unemployed who can not find employment having never been able to gain the advantage of being “properly” educated, or having just been downsized victimized, which leads to more frustration and anger, which ultimately leads to general dissatisfaction, which feeds into the whole “terror” scenario, which keeps the wheels going.

Meanwhile “one of the most chilling plots imaginable,” was thwarted as we read on the front page of every newspaper. Dieing by underground fuel pipe explosion is indeed chilling. We know this, because it has happened from time to time over the years, not because of terrorism but because of deteriating pipes, fail-safe systems that failed and general bad management. An ongoing problem generally ignored.

The front page story missing is how many robberies, home invasions, burglaries, car thefts, death by drunk driver, arsons, assaults, rapes, kidnappings, murders, drug deals, etcetera, WERE NOT pre-empted?

Long way of saying. Folks, we are being snookered big time!

If the moron in the White House did not invade Iraq for oil politics we would be handling terrorism on a police and intelligence level as it should be handled.May I remind the viewer that is exactly what John Kerry said. Why elect someone who makes sense when you can elect someone you want to have a beer with.

Well actually, we don’t have a war ON terror, we have a war OF terror, with Cheney el al as the cheif terrorist.

Be that as it may, I have to admit, (though it makes me sad) that my reaction to these “discoveries and uncoverings” have become almost as cynical as Mar Del Zur’s. The truth is that they could uncover a genuine, real deal, potential attack, and most of us simply wouldn’t believe it. That’s what this Mob has done to the social psychology of our nation, after spinning this BS “war on terror” theme for so long. Nobody believes it anymore.

And, the problem with that, is the real live fact that we are far more vulnerable to terror attacks NOW, then we were six years ago. Thanks to the Mob. But, we would never be able to distinguish one from the other, because of all the lies. So, now, NOTHING they say is veiwed as anything more than just another piece of planted disinformation.
