Goodling Spills the BeansPosted on May 23, 2007Monica Goodling, who had refused to testify before the House Judiciary Committee until she was granted court-approved immunity, had plenty to say to the committee Wednesday. The former Justice Department liaison with the White House criticized Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty, who she said was “not fully candid” with Congress. Goodling also admitted unintentionally breaking federal law by assessing prosecutor candidates on the basis of political allegiance.

Correction - She was a graduate of Pat Robertson’s Regent University of “Intelligent Design”

Isn’t Monica Goodling supposed to be a trained Lawyer with the mind and intellect of a Steel Trap. That is what it says on her Graduation Certificate, isn’t it?
What kind of Lawyers are they turning out from her Law School? Liberty University has not served her well. If I was her, I’d ask for my money back.
One has serious doubts about “Intelligent Design”, looking at the quality of graduates they are turning. God help us all if that’s the best “Design”.
Dear MONICA
Here is one lesson in Law you obviously Never got from Falwells’s Liberty “University”. And it’s absolutely free:
The Nineth Commandment: THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS.

Report thisIt is great to see that at the highest levels of government we have Pat Robertson law school graduates making decisions of great import to all of us and having as her major qualifying attribute that she was a college student body president at a morons college.
I am no expert on the law but when she said” I went over the line but I did not mean to” is not quite one of the great legal arguements of all time in explaining illegality.I guess if I kill someone I will walk if I did not mean to.

Stupid is, as stupid does.
When asked if she’d ever been in a position to hire
and fire people, she said that she was Student Body President in college.
Well, at least SOMEONE in this corrupt, evil administration didn’t steal their presidential election!

A lieing dog in heat, is a lieing dog in heat, is a lieing dog in heat! We need to pass legislation that makes every individual looking to serve this country in a public office, take a lie-detector test then a drug test.
It’s more than obvious that EVERYONE in Washington is a bare faced liar, and on some kind of drugs. Probably came from Mexico…

rodney - how right you are!
This Administration has caused the GOP to loose its soul. It has made its bed with those who want to gain power by dividing our nation with its appeals to the worst within us. So far it has been quite successful in uniting the daemons of hate and anxiety against an imaginary enemy it has created.

A woman who had no business being in her job has no credibility just like the rest of the people who work for Bush. We can see the type of corruption that cronyism causes rather than the best man capable of doing the job. It doesn’t matter anyway because no one in the Bush adminstration has any credibility.

A person schooled in the lies and deceit of Jerry Falwell and appointed by a President who has repeatedly failed to control his appointees and a resonable person would have to conclude that he doesn’t want fair minded, or competent people, only “ass kissers” in his government.
A quote from William Blake, “O who has caused this? Oh who can answer at the throne of God? The Kings and Nobles of the Land Have done it! Hear it not, Heaven, thy ministers have done it!”

Why is it, no one can tell the TRUTH, till they’re granted immunity? Gee, I’m not so sure I didn’t just hear the 4 winds speak the Angel of Death is on his white horse and headed that way.

How dumb does she think we all are?
She knew what she was doing, and she knew who she was doing it for.
That the end justifies the means, was the path she followed, and given her testimony, it appears to be the path that they all follow even now.
No regrets, no I’m sorry, no I’m a lawyer I should have known better.. instead, “I regret those mistakes”...
she’ll just turn and walk away and leave the American public holding the bag, for what they’ve done to their country, the one they swore an oath to defend and protect, from all enemies foreign and domestic…
I remember when Gonzalez was approved by the Senate, I knew there and then, that he would by W.‘s protecter, and that his being there would make Bush immune from impeachment, no matter what…
I wonder what he knows that we don’t?

This Ms Goodling should have known her job, when you work for the Justice Dept. I would think that you would know the law, this administration has constantly skirted the law and only fes up when caught in the cookiejar, dishonesty started with Bush/Chaney, and the “henny penny the sky is falling” Runsfeld.
I should think that when one is interviewed for a job that honesty in upholding the law should be the first concern, but the zealots want their side to win so much that they are willing to bend the circumstances in their favor.
The zealots wanted to win so badly that those who commited voter fraud, by trying to make it harder for people to vote turn the tables and try to put it on the other side, it makes no difference if a conviction can be made just make the case that maybe something happened and then use that as spin.
Where is Justice at the Justice Dept. there is no justice, this administration just wants control any way they can get ot.

RE: John C. Bonzer’s comment
I doubt , and rather emphatically, that this Liberty University Law School graduate was tricked or deceived. She is a zealot, worked diligently for a right wing christian nation and screw the vast majority of the rest of us. I hated that she was given immunity and was convinced that if questioned relentlessly by Waxman and Schumer she would have cracked like an egg, giving up Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rice and who knows how large a list of names.

Though she will never realize it: Ms Goodling has been had by some right wing politicians who cynically led her to misuse her Christian faith.
