How Flying Saucers Could Save the World

It may sound like science fiction, but researchers are working on a number of bizarre emergency plans to fight global warming, including a mock volcano that spews reflective dust and a solar shade made up of a trillion flying saucers. Scientists have been hesitant to discuss such “geoengineering” schemes, but they may be our only hope if humans fail to curb emissions or the crisis turns out to be worse than predicted.

AP via Yahoo:

They are exploring global warming solutions that sound wholly far-fetched, including giant artificial “trees” that would filter carbon dioxide out of the air, a bizarre “solar shade” created by a trillion flying saucers that lower Earth’s temperature, and a scheme that mimics a volcano by spewing light-reflecting sulfates high in the sky.

These are costly projects of last resort—in case Earth’s citizens don’t cut back fast enough on greenhouse gas emissions and the worst of the climate predictions appear not too far away. Unfortunately, the solutions could cause problems of their own—beyond their exorbitant costs—including making the arid Middle East even drier and polluting the air enough to increase respiratory illnesses.

Kevin Trenberth, climate analysis chief at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, said mankind already has harmed Earth’s climate inadvertently, so it’s foolish to think that people can now fix it with a few drastic measures.

Did Andy Borowitz write this piece too? I’m still waiting for the bird flu crisis and Reagan’s trickle down economic plan to start. And of course there’s always a Nostradamus prediction waiting in the wings to rattle the cage of the true believers.

We could just dress the planet in long sleeves to cover up the needle tracks on our arms we’ve created satisfying our addiction. Then we can keep telling our children that chronic travel is their human right instead of the truth, which is that motor sports, recreational travel and daily commutes are as pathological as the heroin exported from the recently liberated Afghanistan to satisfy US junkies with less profound hedonic preferences.

Projects of last resort?  No.  A project of next resort; of our chicanerous corporate business structure; the moral light of our times.  Now that the Global Warming horse is out of the barn, the horse they worked an expensive campaign to contain, they move on to Plan B with their same machinery that brought us anti-Climate Change propaganda: think tank strategies, lobbyists, public relations firms, eager politicians and grand expensive Star Wars-type pie-in-the-sky programs that yield profit, and promote status quo.

How convenient, a costly project to launch a bunch of plates into space.  Expensive, so there’s lots of money to be made.  Difficult to account for, meaning it won’t be accounted for.  The profits will long be made and spent, the principles long gone before any assessment of the thing.  And a bonus!  No need for immediate irritating and cumbersome changes to the kind of life to which we’ve all become accustomed.

The UFOs could save this world by transferring Bush/Cheney and their criminal administration out of this planet then make other worlds polluted !

All recorded history has UFOs but they have other matters and do not care what we do….We have no method yet to fathom their humor or do they have humor, but ignoring fake physics of 9/11 could be a laugh, if they be at all like the wakeful on this Earth.

The little “tinkerers” in the white coats are always telling us of how they are going to “save us” usually from ourselves, BUT without the tinkerers, we wouldn’t need to be saved, so it’s sort of a grey area.

Now we have the technology to run Hydrogen cars. Hydrogen emits no polution when burned. It does emit Oxygen, and water pure enough to make tea.  BUT the hydrogen genie comes with a price.  A switch to hydrogen (cheap and plentiful) ends not only the gas and oil profits, people would soon find that burning hydrogen to cook, heat homes, and to power generators is cheap, easy, and individual.  No more big power projects, powerlines along our streets, or all the jobs connected wiht all this….

Our cars are not the only vehicles running on oil. our economic system does too… Thats why some folks who deny any man inspired climate change, are willing to cook our grandchildren fo0r a continuation of “business-as-usual” today.

This type of intervention is more likely to create bigger problems than it was meant to solve. Our biggest problem is energy and the way we get and use it, combined with irresponsible reproduction of humanity. Just our biological waste is overwhelming and the energy needed and missing in many high population areas to detoxify human waste to keep us from poisoning ourselves is also missing.

This doesn’t even address the problem created by our careless use of chemicals and nuclear energy waste. Those who like to dominate love over crowding as it demands regulation and regulators and validates at lest in their minds the need to respect human rights and basic humanity.

It is a weather balloon! From the 1940’s too today the government and military controlled by the CFR and the Press have spit our that explanation.

Now their going to save us from another lie of global warming with flying saucers. Ha! Ha!

Go to http://www.video.google.com and search ‘William Cooper’ for a different perspective and just maybe a different explanation of facts.

After that go to http://www.lawfulpath.com and search for ‘Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars.’

“Flying saucers” might benefit humanity in other ways too. Unconventional phenomena and the scientific and sociological factors involved can be helpful in many ways.

Those in the political and social change communities might do well to keep open minds about other topics that can achieve progress.

Many interesting developments are underway that are worthy of consideration. For more on this, see:

Well most of these -excepting probably the sulfate injection one are hardly practical, i.e. they would be very expensive. The sulfate injection one isn’t narly as bad as detractors make it out to be, the total amount of additional pollution is only a couple of percent of current emmisions (its putting the stuff very high up that makes the difference). and we have real data based upon occasional large volcanic eruptions on the effects. So as you state -if things start spinning out of control, we might need to actually try it.

Of course none of these help with the problem of ocean acidification, which could potentially be a serious problem -so in no way should we use this possibility as an excuse to do nothing.
