Mohammed Claims a Role in 31 Terror PlotsPosted on Mar 15, 2007The Pentagon released a deeply disturbing transcript featuring a slew of confessions made by suspected 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed that, if true, link him to thousands of deaths over the last two decades. Mohammed not only said he planned the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks “from A to Z” but also that he was involved in 31 terror plots, including the murder of journalist Daniel Pearl and the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings.

Think about it, folks. What does this tell you about what your government thinks of you?
To blatantly use the identical tactics used by the Soviet Union´s KGB and made much of in all of our media to discredit them, and actually expect you to accept it?
DO THEY THINK YOU ARE A LAMEBRAINED BUNCH OF BRAINWASHED SHEEP, OR WHAT?
WELL, ARE YOU?????

If the neocons would just get a little bit more creative with their torture, perhaps they could have got this guy to admit he assassinated President Lincoln. Reminds me of the Stalinist show trials in which former members of the Politburo would come forward to confess their crimes in open court. Isn’t it odd that they held this guy for several years, and suddenly, with all the bad news about Libby, Plame, Rove, Gonzales and the politically motivated firing of U.S. prosecutors, Mohammed steps forward to “voluntarily” confess!

Testified after being tortured? Give me a break. However, I would hope this guy gets a chance to give his testimony in acivilized American court with full public media coverage… just in case he is telling the truth about any of his claims. He might just give hard evidence that our own government was responsible for 911.

Sensationalism . . . in every aspect of this ongoing WAR. Who would be so gullible and naive as to believe this? WHY would anyone believe ANYTHING that this Aministration says any more. After months and months of solitary confinement (complete with hoods, masks, head-phones, shackles, water torture, intimidation, sleep-deprivation, unbearable noise levels, truth serum, etc., etc.) who could or would believe ANYTHING these detainees might have said. And to whom might they have said something ? They had no legal representation. Anyone could say ANYTHING under duress. They were forbidden contact with their families and were kept in secret detention camps.
I cannot believe “confessions” that are extracted in secret by less-than-honest men; with no regard for what our American Constitution instructs nor even, what rights the Geneva Accords safeguard.
This is just another sham in the cry for shock and awe.

I would love to believe we finally have caught someone who was behind the Sept. 11 attacks. Unfortunately, because of the lies and damned lies of this administration there is no way to know if these confessions are true or that they are more than a ploy by the administration to appear they are getting any results in this misguided war.

Mohammed also claims that only one him killed over 3,000 U.S. troops in Iraq; massacred almost million Iraqis; and most important he himself overthrown and hanged Saddam Hussein.
Pentagon can relax now !

I wonder if this guy is not making fools out of the US military by simply confessing to everything. Also, as noted above, we don’t know whether he was tortured, or what else may have been going on.

These are extorted confessions. They are holding his children for ransom. Don’t believe me? Read this from the Telegraph (‘03):

What a joke. The picture that the MSM is using of this khalid is the same picture that was used about a decade ago when Turkey supposedly captured the leader of the Kurd resistance. I also remember seeing a 60 minutes piece a couple of years back on terrorism where they showed the same picture for some other supposed terrorist. It just shows what a disgusting fascist government took over our country in 2000 and is continually aided and abetted by the MSM. I wouldn’t believe this government if they told me that the sun comes out everyday evenif there are clouds in the way.

With the latest approval polls showing a constant downward spiral, the adminstration needed this to boost their egos. Is anybody buying this crap anymore?

I agree with Carlos. This transcript reminds me of the Stalin era show trials in which people, after being tortured, confessed to all sorts of ridiculous things. However, the Stalin trials were at least public. The Bushies can’t even manage that.

This is obviously ridiculous - even if parts of his confession are true why couldn’t this information come out in a normal court with lawyers for both sides? This jumbled over-confession shows at once how unjust and unhelpful the Bush/Gonzales/Rumsfeld policies of torture, secret courts, and enemy combatant status are.
