House Dems Agree to TimetablePosted on Mar 7, 2007The Democratic leadership in the House hopes to attach a timetable for withdrawal to an upcoming Iraq war spending bill. The most ardent war opponents have expressed dissatisfaction that the language is not unconditional, but Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., a prominent withdrawal advocate, said “you’ll see basically what I wanted to do….”

The only timetable should be an exit plan that is budgeted and well executed (suggest an alternate to the CIC, who has shown no capacity for successful execution of any kind).
Forget about a timetable for Iraq; i.e., contingencies for staying or leaving based on Iraqi milestones - bogus prograstination and double talk. Forget about precipitous withdrawal; i.e., such talk of leaving precipitously only delays what will be precipitous exit if we don’t plan and execute. Emphasis: It should be an orchestrated, orderly exit and start immediately.
The plan should include an afermath regional conference and reparitions to the Iraqis for the great harm to them in flesh and blood and participating in the destruction of centuries of civillization and culture.
Can it be any simplier? Anything other than such an exit will prolong the death and destruction - that much is certain.

To deal with the Bush-Cheney administration, good people within our government and country are going to have to be strong and smart.
This enemies within—the infiltration of our government by neocons, war profiteers, war mongers and chicken hawks—are very smart and dangerous.
Congress and Americans need to gather intelligence of all kinds, including psychological intelligence, to be successful. For more on this, the two articles referenced below may be of interest:

No guts to cut off the funding, no glory. A timetable - who the hell in the Potomac theater of the absurd can read a timetable.
Report thisCongress - Listen up - why not debate how many angels can fit on the head of a pin while you’re at it. That’ll get the evangelicals voting again. At the very least roll out some more non-binding resolutions you overpaid pathetic corporate stooges. Sorry Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp, I didn’t mean you.
