Libby
smh.com.au

The defense has rested in “Scooter” Libby’s Plamegate trial after spending only three days (compared with the prosecution’s three weeks) making its case. Libby’s defense focused on discrediting prosecution witnesses and hyping the defendant’s allegedly bad memory.

BBC:

The prosecution spent three weeks making its case in a trial that revealed the inner workings of the White House after the invasion of Iraq.

Witnesses included current and former White House officials and some of Washington’s top journalists.

But they did not include Mr Libby himself or his former boss Mr Cheney, despite indications last year that the defence would call them.

Lefty has it right. Libby is small time, just another low life sent out to take the fall while the big boys run free and easy. A simple diversion and waste of the taxpayers time and money. The special prosecutor should be brought up on charges for making the least of a case with the evidence he had. The government investigating it’s own, what a laugh.

Who cares about Libby! He’s just a cockroach, scumbag.  What I want to know is, why can’t he be squeezed hard enough to finger Bush, Cheney and uber scumbag, Karl Rove?  Is it that he knows Bush will just pardon him, so he has no fear?

Well, since he didn’t nail Bush/Cheney, and if he does get convicted, don’t be surprised if Bush leaves him in prison to rot.

Who knows what dire threats Dick Cheney delivered to Libby and his defense team to prevent him from testifying?  In any case, it worked.  But if I were Libby, I would scream to the top of my lungs through my prison bars that everything was orchestrated by the President and Vice president.  Asked about this at his press conference, Bush said, “No comment!” Perhaps he’s finally getting tired of lying all the time.  Did I say that?

Scooter Libby has nothing to worry about. He is well connected with Cheney who runs the white house & George W.

Scooter Libby, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, William Kristol, Ari Fleischer, and several other zionists in that neocon circle, they all know many top secrets of this administration. They have “something” on Bush & Cheney. Its almost like “blackmail”!

Its almost a sure thing that George W. will pardon Scooter Libby. There is no doubt!

Just sit back & watch. Those zionist neocons are in control!

Scooter Libby was protecting the Bush adminstration. They were behind this .Why is it that Bush and Cheney never testify under oath? They just sit down and give their version of lies. We all can see what’s going on here. Nothing short of a full fledge coverup and white wash of justice. All done with the help of Republican prosecutors and Republican appointed judges. Same as the elections 2000 and 2004.

Libby apparently was deeply involved in the lies by many interlocking officials, groups, members of the media and possibly foreign government-related people to push the US people and Congress into invading Iraq.

He, Douglas Feith, Paul Wolfowitz and many others planted in the Bush administration will hopefully be brought to justice.

The Libby case, of course, focuses on a very narrow slice of this huge apparent conspiracy that had many stages and aspects.

There is something very odd about this case.  There were certainly unsavory shenanigans going on in trying to discredit an honest investigation and report and because the report did not fit in with the views desired by the backroom boys, the author of it was snubbed, and slandered in a backbiting whispering campaign.  The investigation stinks, the White House stinks.  Rot reigns.
