President Wants More Money for the War

The president will ask Congress to approve $245 billion in additional funds for “military and diplomatic operations” in Iraq and Afghanistan over the next two years when he submits his budget on Monday. We’re guessing not much of that would actually be spent on diplomacy.

AP:

Keeping troops in Iraq for another year and a half will cost nearly a quarter-trillion dollars - about $800 for every man, woman and child in the U.S. - under the budget President Bush will submit to Congress Monday.

Bush will ask for $100 billion more for military and diplomatic operations in Iraq and Afghanistan this year and seek $145 billion for 2008, a senior Pentagon official said Friday. Those requests come on top of about $344 billion spent for Iraq since the 2003 invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.

At the same time, Bush’s budget request will propose cost curbs on Medicare providers, a cap on subsidy payments to wealthier farmers and an increase to $4,600 in the maximum Pell Grant for low-income college students.

And they cried, PEACE, PEACE, and there was no peace. Or as a Russian dictator once put it; Peace, peace, I want a piece of this…and a piece of that….

Yes, and I for one will be the first to sign a grievance against our government and personally walk the blocks to collect signatures to recall any democrat that allows this travesty to continue. NO MONEY FOR WAR! NO MORE LIES. They can stop this bull by starting impeachment proceedings, and they better not dare say it won’t….

Let me get this straight.

Bush proposes to cut benefits to our Medicaid and Medicare recipients so he continue to use our money to make more patients in Iraq? Another great idea from the Decider.

My God, this is an interesting proposal.

You think the Democrats can see the paradox?

Stole the 2000 Election.  (Duh)

Ignored pre-9/11 intelligence.

Blatently and knowingly lied to the country about Iraq.

Completely bungled the operation after arriving in Baghdad.

Held a “Mission Accomplished” photo op at tax-payer expense on the Abraham Lincoln during which he put his feet up on a chair in the briefing room while yucking it up with the officers on the ship.

Created one of the largest disparities of wealth this nation has ever seen.

Created the largest deficit this nation has ever seen.

Exported millions of good paying manufacturing jobs and replaced them with low wage service jobs.

Introduced, passed, and signed off on one of the most regressive tax-cut packages in this nations history.

Bankrupted the Fed.

Attempted to get his hands on social security.

Is currently using the Chinese and other foreign interests to underwrite the national debt.

Consistently bows down to the Saudi’s.

Gave that meth-head Ted Haggard telephone access to the White House on a weekly basis.

Apparently believes in such inane concepts as “The Rapture” and is actually looking forward to it taking place.

And now he wants another quarter TRILLION for his ILLEGAL AND DESTABILIZING WAR in Iraq while spineless Dem’s get all lovey-dovey with him in Williamsburg, VA.

Good Luck.  You’re gonna need it.

I’d like to know were all this money is coming from these past 93 years? Oh! I remember it is coming from ‘LOANS’ from the private international bankers and the private corporation of the ‘Federal Reserve System.’

Since most of the world nations, including the united States declared ‘Bankruptcy’ in Geneva in 1930, and surrendered sovereignty over to these bankers, all of us have been ruled by them.

http://www.apfn.org/apfn/secretoath.htm

search; freedomtofascism, theft-by-deception, and money masters Part 1 & 2 on http://www.video.google.com

See we are all governed by The Uniform Commercial Code Law, unknown to the average citizen. But most elected officials know about it, that is why most politicians are lawyers or former judges.
They all take a ‘Secret Oath’ that over rules the Constitutional ‘Oath of Office.’

Anyone know about the ‘Flag’ of the U.S.? Has anyone seen the flags in government buildings?
Look at it next time, and notice he ‘YELLOW’ on the flags since the early 1970’s. Next time you watch any c-span, CNN, etc, that broadcasts any government program, do you see a bird on top of the post? That is not the flag of this republic folks. Do the research about this country’s flag, and don’t let anyone tell you this so called ‘military flag’ B.S. It is all about the ‘Law of The Sea’ and that communist U.N., amongst others- CFR, Trilateral Commission, etc.

Our future children (if we have a future) will pay this interest-debt for hundreds of years, until we abolish this Federal Reserve-IRS, and take back our country.

We can rest easy now. The neocons have saved our asses again. The evildoers will no longer feel jealous of the wealthy Americans because the Americans will all have been impoverished by the Iraq (undeclared) liberation.

Not to worry. This is small stuff. Wait till the Bush neocon handlers start a real war on Iran, soon. Besides, all costs are underwritten by China.

Bush wants, and, if I read the NYTimes correctly, will have no problem getting it, whatever it happens to be. The Democrats have already spinelessly caved to the growing escalation. Why should anyone expect them to do otherwise to anything else the master demands of them?

Bush has no concept of money. Is the Congress going to allow this idiot to bankrupt us all?

The military has operated for years on the assumption they can get all the money they need by saying Boo their gonna git you unless you pay us enough to keep them away!

Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. I listened (on TV) to an officer explaining how wonderful the V22 Osprey aircraft was. He said had we had the Osprey when Carter made that failed attempt to rescue Americans being held hostage by the Iranians we would have succeeded. Oh right!

One mission for the excuse to build a very costly, unproven aircraft. The cost? 147 million each initially. The Marines want 360 of them. The cost the marines think they can get them for is 40 million each. the General Accounting Office says the cost would be 83 million each. Even at the lower price for the Marines the total purchase price would be 15.5 Billion dollars. That doesn’t include future maintainence costs etc. And don’t forget the always present cost over-run which is sure to happen.

The point I’m trying to make is the tremendous pressure brought by the Military/Industrial complex on our elected officials to spend money on the military instead of on our kids education/health care etc.

What would have happened if the Romans had decided to stay at home and mind their stores instead of exploiting the reat of the world. I think Rome could have lasted a lot longer, if not till today. Exploitation takes big bucks. Initially the Romans enjoyed great returns on their investment. Over time they suffered from deminishing returns. In other words for each dollar they expended on exploitation the return became smaller and smaller till they were spending more than they were taking in. It’s really very simple. There is no room for deminishing returns.

There will come a day of reckoning. What’s true for you and I is also true for our Government. We could end up suffering the same ignoble fate that Russia suffered as a direct result of putting there military first before any other considerations. Their final fall came as a result of their lack of will to get out of Afghanistan.

Will Iraq prove to be our Afghanistan? Quite possibly. Are you afraid? You should be. I’ll see you in the soup/bread line.

Is this inevitable? I’m afraid so. Put yourself in the shoes of your Congressman or Senator. You can either spend you time helping your poor and middle class realize a good education and perhaps a good job future and get a thank you.

Or you can help Guys like LtGen Fred McCorkle (Ret). McCorkle led a passionate defense of the V-22 during his tenure (on active duty).  Soon after retiring from the Marines in October 2001, McCorkle joined the board of directors and as a senior advisor for GKN Aerospace Services (V-22 fuel tanks).  He also serves on the Rolls-Royce North America board of directors (V-22 engines), and is a member of the board of directors of Lord Corporation (V-22 components).  In addition, he has served as a consultant for Boeing Aerospace (V-22 maker) and Optical Air Data Systems (V-22 low airspeed indicator). Do you see the relationship between the military and the military industrial complex here?

I got the above information on McCorkle from a web-page titled V-22 Costs Soar.

I’m afraid your Congressman or Senator will spend a hell of a lot more attention to guys like McCorkle than to you or I. That’s where the money and power is.

Here’s a question. How many relatives of Congressmen and Senators work for the Military Industrial complex? I don’t know but I understand it’s a fairly common practice in Washington DC.

My prognosis? It’s human nature to look out for me first. This propensity in our leaders will lead to the downfall of this country through bankruptsy.

“MORE” is the only word people in government know. It’s limitless. Spending other people’s money just gets easier all the time.
Congress - we’re watching you - it’s well past the time to cut this clown off at the knees.

Why don’t we give Bush and Cheney an 8-wheeler, they can drive it up to the Treasury and fill it with cash—-on one condition, that we never see both of them again.

He wants everything and not only money for Iraq.

He wants that he can be elected several more terms and become second Fidel Castro in North America !

He wants that all Senate and House members are his servants so they can only know how to bow down their heads.

He wants this beautiful nation becoming his monarch property.

He wants….he wants….and he wants…!
