Senators Unite on Challenge to Bush’s Troop Plan

Legislators from both sides of the aisle are aligning on a nonbinding resolution by Sen. John Warner of Virginia against Bush’s troop escalation plan. It’s not the stern one Democrats had hoped to pass, but it look like this one has a shot at making it through.

Washington Post:

Democratic and Republican opponents of President Bush’s troop-buildup plan joined forces last night behind the nonbinding resolution with the broadest bipartisan backing: a Republican measure from Sen. John W. Warner of Virginia.

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) announced the shift, hoping to unite a large majority of the Senate and thwart efforts by the White House and GOP leaders to derail any congressional resolution of disapproval of Bush’s decision to increase U.S. troop levels in Iraq by 21,500.

Wow, another non-binding resolution. We’re certainly getting our money’s worth from these slobs. I hear the sound of one hand clapping, hard at work congratulating themselves in our Congress. IMPEACH ALL THE BASTARDS.

This is America which belongs to American people and of course not to Bush/Cheney and their stupid surroundings. GOPs & Democrats ought to be united in one firm block to challenge this criminal administration from attempting to kill more.
