Tens of Millions Wasted in IraqPosted on Jan 31, 2007
The latest report from the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction says tens of millions of dollars have been wasted because of failure and fraud. Among other abuses, the report cites a never-used $48.3-million housing facility, complete with an Olympic-size swimming pool. If Willie Sutton were alive today, he’d head straight to Baghdad.

War profiteering by everyone from mercenary private security firms to Halliburton was a big motivation for the Iraq War.
War is good business. Or, as well-known Marine Corps General Smedley Butler said, “War is a Racket,” which was the title of his famous book about war profiteering.
Question is, will the people who have committed financial and other crimes involving the invasion and occupation of Iraq be punished?
And what is the mindset, the psychology of the neocons, the Bush administration, the chicken hawks, the press and others?
The article below takes a look:

Yes.This report does miss the mark. The true disgrace of it all is the unlimited war profiteering. There is literally hundreds of billions of dollars that are going to a select group of entities ( Halliburton, Bechtel, Carlyle Group, etc…)that are all directly related to top administration position holders ( Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, etc…)with no true accountability. And lets not even mention the huge number of mercenaries that are employed by these same entities that are allowed to “protect” the interests of these companies (approximately 30,000)with no impunity. This may truly be the greatest criminal enterprise of the 21st century, and there may still be more to come ( Iran, Syria, etc…).

Hundreds of Billions in loans from international banks and the federal reserve wasted by Congress PERIOD.
“Give me control over a nation’s currency, and I care not who makes its laws”
~Mayer Amschel Rothschild~
When will we understand that not one cent of the U.S. ‘DOLLAR’ is or ever was true currency as explained in the Constitution. Article 1 Section 8, since the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
To re-enforce the control of this United States by private banks Congress allowed the government to be dissolved by the Emergency Banking Act (March 9, 1933) and suspensing the Gold Standard
and the Gold Clause (H.J.R. 192, 73rd Congress, June 5, 1933) which dissolve the Sovereign Authority of the United States.
‘Congressional Record, March 17, 1993 Vol.33, page H-1303’
So let us explain that our Federal Reserve Notes is a fraud. There was a time when you could go to a bank an exchange your dollars for gold-silver, try that now. Why not now? Because our currency is not real- a piece of copper holds more value.
The federal reserve and international banks own our land, homes, and everything in the continental united states, including our children and future generations as explained in many books and web sites.

This report completely misses the mark. The Iraq invasion and occupation has not achieved any of its stated goals. That effectively means we have wasted not “tens of millions of dollars,” as the report claims, but we have wasted the entire $1 trillion or more that the whole Iraq debacle will end up costing us! And then we are not even including the damage to our country’s reputation, our Constitutional traditions, and our diplomatic clout.
Report thisOh, if only we have wasted mere “tens of millions” of dollars!
