Iran Leader Scoffs at Sanctions

Posted on Jan 21, 2007

A defiant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday that U.N. sanctions would have no effect on his nation’s nuclear policy or economy: “The [U.N.] resolution was born dead and even if they issue 10 more of such resolutions it will not affect Iran’s economy and policies.”

Reuters via Yahoo!:

The U.N. Security Council passed a sanctions resolution on December 23 against Iran, calling for the suspension of Iran’s nuclear programme, which the West fears is aimed at making nuclear weapons. Iran denies the charge.

“The (U.N.) resolution was born dead and even if they issue 10 more of such resolutions it will not affect Iran’s economy and policies,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech to parliament broadcast live on state television.

The president has faced increasing public criticism in Iran since the resolution was passed and after his supporters were trounced in local polls in December. Critics say his anti-Western speeches have added to tensions with the West.

Hi again, ‘Mad as Hell’.

You made it clear that you don’t favor war with Iran nor think it necessary. I’m glad.

You even make it clear that you think it’s a crazy idea (“nothing will happen unless Mad King George starts World War III”). I’m very happy that you think it’s a crazy idea.

But you shriek “anti-Semite” at those of us who point out that Israel and its lobbyists and think tanks in Washington fervently want this “mad” war to happen.

Please read this fresh report, just added to the enormous heap of evidence that it’s Israel that is pushing for this war - a war that YOU ADMIT is an extremely bad idea:

“Senior Israeli politicians and analysts appear to be preparing the public for military conflict with Iran”

‘Mad as Hell’ writes:

“... nothing will happen unless Mad King George starts World War III.  Besides, I believe it is unrealistic to think Iran will get anywhere near nukes anytime soon, nor would use them…”

OK, so “Mad as Hell” is sane enough to realize that going to war against Iran is an insane idea.

But he’s so enamored of his darling Israel that he apparently can’t accept the obvious fact that it’s the Israelis and only the Israelis who are putting pressure like mad on our government to start such a war.

‘Mad as Hell’ is a typical Jewish American liberal who has enough sense to be against the insane neocon war scheme but screams “anti-Semite” at anyone who points out that the whole scheme is conceived for Israel’s benefit (as they see it) by the right-wing pro-Israel fanatics who run AIPAC and the rest of the Israel lobby, and by the “think tank” hacks who have made themselves the official “experts” on America’s Middle East policy.

‘Mad as Hell’, you may not want these wars, but Israel does, and you are facilitating these wars by protecting the “pro-Israel” fanatics from scrutiny with your constant screaming about “anti-Semites”. You cover for them as they do their dirty work.

You’re ultimately too hopelessly tribal-minded and irrationally protective of Israel too be of any use in stopping these insane wars, even if you do think of yourself as opposing them.

Bush now has a new buddy. He is the president of Iran because both of them have same character, personality, deaf-mute, insane, greedy for phamtom glory…but most of all they’re pleased to show up their military forces for killings and invasion to other countries.

Are they both devils ? Just ask president Chavez.

Let me present you with some facts: Iranian president NEVER said, “Israel should be wiped out from the face of the earth” actual word by word translation & explanation of his remarks:
http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=5866

Last year Iranian former reformist President visited America with open arms, offering to negotiate & he was totally ignored! Why??? He could have been the new president if was given some importance.

More news has come out that in 2003 Iran offered to meet all US demands, when Powell office was warm to the offer & Cheney killed it with the reply that “we don’t deal with evil”.

Last but not least another factual article:

http://heshamtillawi.wordpress.com/2007/01/22/all-aboard-the-arab-holocaust-train-operated-by-israel-atlantic-union/

UNFORTUNATELY THE DAMAGE USA HAS UNLEASHED UPON THIS WORLD MAY JUST BE THE BEGINING OF THE END.
Thank you for not doing enough to stop!

The UN will pass resolutions, Iran will ignore them, and nothing will happen unless Mad King George starts World War III.  Besides, I believe it is unrealistic to think Iran will get anywhere near nukes anytime soon, nor would use them—The FIRST nation to use nukes that isn’t the US, Russia or China condemns its people to become a plain of glass.

Meanwhile, all those anti-Semitic trolls will be silent on Iran disregarding UN resolutions, while loudly and adamantly demanding that Israel abide by them.

Hypocracy rules supreme!

Ahmadinejad thinks that because going to war against Iran would be crazy, Americans won’t do it.

But he doesn’t understand that Americans are insanely, self-destructively obedient to Israel’s wishes, and so we WILL do it—even if it kills us.

One must ask why is Iran unwilling to yield to International pressure ? I think I can answer this question. The world stood by when Mr. Bush and his Neo-Con friends declared war against Iraq. Now it doen’t take much of an IQ to assume that Bush and company were ready to chow down on Iran. It was just a question of time when they would get to Iran. The world would no doubt hold its breath until Bush and company would destroy Iran. Lets not forget what happen to Labanon while the world sat on its ass.

In a Jan. 19 Reuters news service article, Wayne White, a top Middle East analyst for the State Department’s bureau of intelligence and research until March 2005, says the Bush administration is planning a very broad war on Iran, not just surgical strikes.

In the article, White lays out specifics of what he has learned about this planning and what the extreme “blow back” will be for Americans.

Though he doesn’t specially mention it, the current $8.4 billion a month the Iraq War is costing will go up.

Also, the possibility of a military draft cannot be ruled out. On this subject, the article below may be of interest:

Military draft needed for war with Iran and Syria?

We may be surprised

Scenarios of nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki ... soon may be revived in Iran. Plans of throwing of deep penetrating bunk buster bombs to make a cave like holes and then driving the precision guided nuclear arsenals through those holes to attack deep down on the well hidden Iranian nuclear assets are in the offing.

Although United State suffered an acute humiliation in Iraq and American public has totally rejected the Neocons policies in Iraq; but Conservative are still clinging to their failed policies; as the executive power and White House administration keys still rest with them. Under the present situation with the history of committal of series of blunders and set backs in Iraq; they are the most desperate lot.

To leave from Iraq with a legacy of defeat; this scenario may not be liked by out going Conservative; It is but certain to bring about, some odd scenario which can change their earned shame into some fame. Some thing; which is at least seen as victory like silhouette for the returning armed forces.

To eliminate, destroy the declared ‘axis of evil’; Iran, may be the only option to scale down the anarchy in Iraq and to turn the shame into fame.

The huge forces are being redeployed, in and around Persian Gulf. Argument can be given? That the deputing the new naval fleets in Persian Gulf and induction of additional troops to over swell the presence of forces; is an act of Brinkmanship that; seeing the display of arms rattling and threatening plans of US Forces being widely discussed in the media; Iran will eventually budge and surrender to the will of Neocons.

But to force Iran into some agreement to US terms at the negotiation table may not be the aim to satisfy the required out come at the moment. Neither a regime change option may be the priority. Eliminating Iran completely may be the ultimate option to mark it a sure success in Middle East.

Destruction of few nuclear sites may push the Iranian programmes few years back but it may not eliminate their programme all together because they may save, hide their assets before hand. This action may not mark an achievement to turn the Iran-Iraq scenario into success. To destroy Iran Armed forces and their capabilities and reduce them effectively or scale them down to a (maximum) depleted level; may be the ‘option to be adopted’, to serve the purpose. For which targets in thousand, deep in side Iran will be selected.

Israel prospective in this scenario is also to be kept in mind. Israel wants to bury the pains of her humiliating bog down and retreat of Israeli forces experienced in Lebanon- Israel, 34 days war. Israeli chief of staff, General Dan Halutz has just resigned (owing to his ill planning in the above war) and Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert may be the next in line.

In both the cases; eliminating Iran; reducing its Armed forces to its least potent size and scale; plus destroying its nuclear sites is the only easy option for US-Israel joint operation to go ahead with and to achieve the well wished victory and regain the lost US glory in the Middle East.

But Iran being at the helms of affairs has some, certain obligations to their land, to full fill;

In order to escape a catastrophe waiting to happen and avert an annihilation of its country and loss of lives of millions of people; Iran to stop check the US onslaught and create lasting deterrence; is left with no option but to declare it self nuclear power and test (prove) its effective long range delivery system.

It will save lives of millions and make the peace a lasting possibility in the Middle East.

The lives it may save; may not be only of millions and millions of destitute Iraqis and Iranians; but also of American, Israelis and of many others, being prepared to be put in as fodder of planned inferno of war, in and around the Middle East.
