Cheney Rejected Iran ConcessionsPosted on Jan 18, 2007
Four years ago, Iran offered to end its support of Hezbollah and Hamas, help to stabilize Iraq and make its nuclear program more transparent, according to a top aide to former Secretary of State Colin Powell. But Vice President Dick Cheney nixed the deal, because of his “We don’t talk to evil” mentality, the aide said. In exchange for Iran’s concessions, the United States would have had to drop sanctions, relax its hostility toward Tehran and disband an Iraq-based Iranian militant group.

Mad as Hell (#48701) pretends not to know, or chooses to ignore, considerable evidence of a close-knit elite, who call themselves “Zionist,” working to advance a long-term agenda that goes well beyond just “secure borders” for the state of Israel. Israelis are no more equivalent to this group than the declining American middle class is to the two percent there who own and control ninety-plus percent of that increasingly benighted country’s wealth….....and virtually all of its instruments of social “engineering.”
“Power” in both places resides with a plutoligarchy who see nations-states, institutionalized religion, commercial structures, and their captive subject/citizenry as mere means to the end of consolidating and perpetuating their own rule of fear. Those Shemites of the tribe of Israel who have been lured into the cross-hairs of their Hamite brethren’s rage are as much at the mercy of their hidden rulers’ machinations as their run-of-the-mill allAmerican best buddies are.
These elites sit comfortably surrounded by and “embedded” in populations who witlessly provide effective insulation for them from the increasingly bloody and destructive consequences of their “Securing the Realm” and “New American Century” pipedreams. Meantime, Mad as Hell gets mad at someone who was careful to avoid equating Israelis and “Jews” with the core of criminal conspirators who hide behind and amongst them.
S/He seems unwilling even to consider the long obvious signs of the presence in this world of forces or entities who have about as much concern for human welfare as your average civilized two-legged has for that of their bovine relatives. In his/her (intentional?) misconstruction of what this Indian said about human elites, including a contingent operating from the cover of Israel, bent on world domination, Mad as Hell goes on to ignore the actual thrust of that comment. These privileged and “chosen” few are themselves subject to the designs of other manipulators who, when push comes to shove, will lump their hapless human agents in with the rest of the livestock.
Meanwhile, civilized peoples go on killing and dying over false distinctions and illusory differences. Whose purposes does Mad as Hell think are served by all this institutionalized carnage? Will administering justice to the likes of Dick Cheney have any effect at all on the mass and momentum, and ultimate disintegration, of the worldwide system of dominance and exploitation he slap-happily serves? Aren’t Benjamin Netanyahu’s overweening personal ambitions really the least of Israel’s many mounting difficulties?
Mad as Hell ought to realize only his real enemies gain when S/He sinks to calling his/her friends nasty names.
HokaHey!

TAO Walker: Another troll pushing the Great Lie that Jews (“Zionists”) want to take over the world.
Kellina at least has seen the light—that the anti-semitic anti-zionists attribute to Israel tendencies totally self-destructive to that state.
While I support Israel’s existence and prosperity, I, too, dread the RETURN to power of Benyamin Netanyahu (Or “Benjamin What-a-Yahoo”). HE represents as great a danger to Israel as her enemies outside the nation. If you things are bad now just wait till he gets through with it!
And Cheney? He’s just a plain and simple mean man who thinks anyone who defies him should be crushed. He’s a traitor pure and simple and should be arraigned, tried, convicted and punished as he deserves. I would even advocate turning him over to the International Court so that Mad King George cannot pardon him.

RE: “...Cheney nixed the deal, because of his We dont talk to evil mentality…”
>>> Let us be clear on this.
The New World Oligarchy (with Cheney at the helm of the PNAC) never intended anything but total chaos for the Middle East. As per Brzezinski’s strategy and Huntington’s ideology; clash our civilizations and fail their states. To this end al CIA-duh was created, funded and trained, essentially through Pakistan’s ISI, to foment a condition of explosive global tension a pretext to wage endless War of Terror. Please, people, give up on “blow back.” It only supports the Myth of Islamofascism and the regime’s contention: “They hate us for…whatever.” We must close ranks on all issues and demand that our governing mechanisms for recalling such madmen be engaged. So far nothing can touch them. To do so we must grab the sharpest weapon in our armory and strike with unanimity!
SUPPORT 911TRUTH - END WAR OF TERROR!

Can we easily imagine a noose around cheney’s neck as we did for Saddam?
Is it possible for white americans to be okay with hanging bush and cheney as easily as it was for them to hang Saddam?
What is difference between them and Saddam…color, race, nationality?
It’s time for us to become more imaginative!

I used to think that Israel was behind this middle-east maelstrom. Now I think that that is too simple. If Israel is smart, she would never endorse what the US is doing. War with Iraq, for example, makes Israel very, very vulnerable.
That said, some faction of Israeli probably _is_ in on it (i.e., the Likud party), in conjunction with the Neocons like Cheney, but the purpose is decidedly _not_ to benefit Israel. They are smart in that they are getting America to spend a lot of money by exploiting our sympathy for Israel.
Thus, it seems as if it is all about Israel’s defense. But I think that Cheney and others are just reaching for the last gasp of oil in the middle east. It really is about oil, but it’s not undertaken to help the US. No one who cares about the US would do to the Constitution what Cheney has done. It’s to help the multinational corporations that may have their orgin in the US but have long since become supranational entities.
For example, the seven sisters (oil companies) have so much wealth that it is not inconceivable that they could purchase whole intelligence organizations as well as the loyalty of key people in various government administrations to achieve their ends. Many oil companies got to be big by ruthless suppression of competition and have roots in the earlier monopolies begun by people like Rockefeller. Many of these companies have close ties to the central banks, as well, and wield enormous power.
When people like Cheney no longer hold their investments in dollars (cf Kiplinger report), I can in no way see their loyalty as being with the US; thus I am not surprised to hear that Cheney thumbed his nose at Iran when he had a chance to make peace. Iran could simply slaughter all our people in Iraq if we bomb them. Or signal one or two of the Shi’ia factions in Iraq to do so. Our men and women are sitting ducks. Somehow I doubt Cheney gives a damn about our troops.
I have a feeling that we’ll see martial law, no elections in ‘08, and Cheney at the healm. He’ll just have W killed, and take over. Permanently. Abolish Congress while he’s at it.
On the other hand, what the hell do I know? Bombing Iran looks so stupid from so many perspectives. What will Pakistan do? They have the bomb and don’t like their PM much; he seems to be the only friend we have there. What will Russia do? They hate us, too, and have tons of nukes. China, too; all they have to do is call 5% of their loans and our country is toast. There is a giant chess game going on (... a la Ziggy?).
When the hell is hydrogen fuel cell technology going to get going? We need alternatives to hydrocarbon fuel fast.

Alright, nobody is really surprised anymore to learn such things about the world’s most infamous denizen of the “undisclosed location.” That he is reading from a script written in “The Holy Land” is pretty plain to see by now, as well, for anyone alert enough to look.
So maybe it’s time we figured out just whose dirge the Zionists themselves are death-marching to. Because despite their supposedly scriptural divinely-ordained meglomaniac dreams of ruling the world (with their anglo-philiac all-American sidekicks kept around for occasional comic relief), it is glaringly obvious the Israelites are also being played for fools by someone or something working to a larger scheme, on a longer timeline, than even the 150th generation of Abraham’s Isaac’s descendants can comprehend.
A clear-eyed, strong-stomached look at actual “conditions on-the-ground” worldwide reveals the presence here of something with neither heart nor soul…....something preying most ravenously, probably, on those who pray most urgently to it. How else to explain the plain fact it is everywhere the true-believers rushing most eagerly onto the killing-floors of internecine armed combat, in a world becoming more-and-more Mars’ own private personal schlachthofen?
Better look past the puppets jerking you around as they themselves are jerked off- and on-stage by forces beyond the controll of even those self-styled stage-managing “masters of the universe” whose names and faces are kept carefully hidden from public view. Something is eating you and your world alive, people, while most of you chase after petty crooks and pissant tyrants and “un-believers” as clueless in this mock-battle as yourselves.
Stop feeding your children to these old “gods” and they will soon wither and blow away. Keep it up and they will much sooner than later devour you all….....and then wither and blow away.
You have nothing to lose but your most cherished beliefs and your most prized possessions…..in others’ words, “your chains.” And only your free wild natural lives to recover. So what’re you waiting for?
HokaHey!

Ignore the usual anti-semitic, anti-Israel trolls.
Following the attacks of 9/11, when Bush was planning the war in Afghanistan, in the fall of 2001, Iran was VERY interested in aiding us. It was a GOLDEN opportunity to repair relations, to talk, and to greatly expand the chances of peace in the Middle East. Much was due to Iran’s DETESTING both Al Qaeda and the Taliban, especially the latter. Remember: Al Qaeda and the Taliban are Sunni, Iran is Shi’a.
I thought SURELY this will be siezed as the opportunity it is, an opportunity that WOULD have sent GWB down in history for at least ONE great foreign policy victory.
Instead, Mad King George, in January of 2002, spat in the Iranians’ outstretched hand and made his criminally imbecilic “Axis of Evil” speech. And all because the neocon PNAC crowd didn’t have enough BRAINS to see how peaceful relations with Iran fit into their scenario.
Of course Israel, being run by at least SOME sane people, would LOVE to normalize relations with Iran again. Iran and Israel are natural allies, because they BOTH are surrounded by enemies, and a large chunk of these enemies are Arab Sunni Moslem nations. Perfect alliance, but Bush RUINED that too, with his “Axis of Evil” idiocies.
So Cheney’s behind it. If Mad King George was ANY bit a real leader, he would have ignored Darth Dick on this one. But he’s not a leader and he didn’t ignore Cheney’s loony fantasy.

Dick writes:
‘Iran is next, and its all according to Israels plan, “Securing the Realm,....’
Dick: the plan is actually called “Clean Break: a New Strategy for Securing the Realm”, written in 1996 for then Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
When writers shorten the name for quick reference, it’s usually called the “Clean Break” plan; I’ve never seen it called “Securing the Realm for short.

Does anyone recall the friendly statements from the Iranian government after a massive earthquake hit a region in Iran?
As I recall the Iranians sounded as if they were at least reconsidering their longstanding hostile attitude toward the U.S.
I did find this article from the BBC Jan 1 2004:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3361217.stm
Near the end of the story under the heading “Temporary relief” it sounds like some rapprochement was within the realm of possiblity.
It also appears from this story that Colin Powell was in the lead on making process. Perhaps this is the opportunity that Cheney turned down?
