Although I’m sure there are many who are more informed about Somalia than I am, I am pretty damned well informed, generally. And, I don’t have enough information from either the corporate pimping MSM or otherwise to have an opinion on this action, other than, if Bush is behind it, it must be, at least in part, for his personal benefit.
That’s frustrating!

If America’s waking up to the fact that this latest action is part of what an Empire does abroad then its people Should be nervous. An Empire for the last 35 years we did’nt know or want to know was in place. Any one mention the huge base we’ve built in Djibouti from which these air assaults are staged frrom? Let’s see Iraq, Iran and
Report thisnow Somalia? Why are’nt we using air to interdict the slaughter that has been ongoing in Darfur?

Do we really know who we are bombing? Or is this just another attempt by the the Bush adminstration to put false hope in Americans to actually have us believe that we are actually winning the war on terror? My guess is this was another coorinated bombing, killing dozens of innocents while the people we were suppose to be after was not there,or as they always tell us ,they escaped in the nick of time. Unfortunately, most Americans are still foolish enough to believe this. After all of the dead innocents have been found,no one will we held accountable, and we again will blame it on bad intelligence, and again most Americans won’t care because the dead innocents are foreigners in another land. This is the Bush strategy, kill first. If you don’t get the terrorist you are looking for ,kill some more. Maybe if you kill enough children, they won’t grow up to become terrorists. Again, this policy is repeated all over the world by the Bush Adminstration numerous times and the war criminals Bush and Cheney bear no responsiblity or accountability. There is no reason to wonder why America is no longer respected and is hated around the world. When the leaders of our nation commit crimes against humanity and the people chose to ignore it, then we as Americans need to look ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves,by allowing these actrocities to continue are we ourselves war criminals?

It looks like King George Bush is just protecting the African people from the terrists! Sometimes there is colateral damage with the rockets red glare and the bombs bursting in air. It’s just like being caught between I-raq and a hard place (Afghanistan)!

“I wonder if it werent for hunting al Qaeda would we still be bombing to end genocide? And, if thats the case, will we be bombing in Darfur next? Oh, wait. No oil. Never mind.”
You’re wrong about that…Sudan is definitely part of the oil game, especially for China:
“China’s voracious demand for energy to feed its booming economy has led it to seek oil supplies from African countries including Sudan… China bought 50 percent of Sudan’s oil exports in 2005, which accounted for 5 percent of China’s oil needs…Sudanese production and export of light, sweet crudethe most easily refined, and therefore most desirable, oilhave risen rapidly in the last few years, with Sudan’s Energy Ministry reporting production of some 500,000 barrels per day in 2005 despite internal upheaval, including the unrest in the northern region of Darfur. Sudan has proven reserves of some 563 million barrels of oil, with the potential for far more in regions of the country made inaccessible by conflict. Sudan is one of the world’s poorest countries.” - http://www.cfr.org/publication/9557/

“No debate first, no disclosure” Are you crazy? If your going to have debates (they were debated and recommended at the Pentagon)You may as well send the air defense over there the locations where they can shot down the AMERICAN pilots. I’m not in favor of having our soldiers over there, but lets not make it more difficult for them to complete there missions.

How independently the “defense” establishment is acting. No attempt to debate first, no disclosure. Just bomb away.
