Sen. Tim Johnson and his wife, Barbara.

Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., whose sudden illness last month briefly threatened the Democrats’ control of the Senate, had been given a medical status upgrade from critical to fair.  We wish him well.

BBC:

Mr Johnson’s spokeswoman, Julianne Fisher, told news agencies that the senator’s condition “had been upgraded from critical to fair”.

I had am AVM removed from the left temporal area 12 years ago and made good recovery from the right-side hemaplegia and hope the Senator will do well. Regarding,Dead-Eye Cheney, there is no reason why he can’t be impreached as a war-profiteer and a truly “vice” war president.

It’s not such a big deal, anyway. With Lieberman in the Senate, the Democrats already lacked an effective majority.  Lieberman will always vote with the President and the neocons, giving them 50 votes - and then Cheney can break the tie.
