Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., whose sudden illness last month briefly threatened the Democrats’ control of the Senate, had been given a medical status upgrade from critical to fair. We wish him well.
BBC:
Mr Johnson’s spokeswoman, Julianne Fisher, told news agencies that the senator’s condition “had been upgraded from critical to fair”.
“The senator continues to make progress,” she said, adding: “The next step would be rehabilitation and we hope that would happen within the week.”
Mr Johnson was admitted to George Washington University hospital on 13 December after experiencing what his office initially said was a possible stroke.
According to the hospital, a health status of “fair” means that vital signs like blood pressure and temperature are stable and within normal limits.

I had am AVM removed from the left temporal area 12 years ago and made good recovery from the right-side hemaplegia and hope the Senator will do well. Regarding,Dead-Eye Cheney, there is no reason why he can’t be impreached as a war-profiteer and a truly “vice” war president. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), disabled veteran and member: Veterans For Peace

It’s not such a big deal, anyway. With Lieberman in the Senate, the Democrats already lacked an effective majority. Lieberman will always vote with the President and the neocons, giving them 50 votes - and then Cheney can break the tie.
