Iraqi state TV has reported that the vice president is in Iraq for a surprise Thanksgiving visit with the troops, but the U.S. embassy and the Pentagon deny the claim.

BBC:

Mr. Cheney’s visit was reported on Iraqi state TV, but neither the U.S. embassy nor the U.S. military could confirm it.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Cheney said she was not aware of any plans for him to travel there later on Thursday.

U.S. President George W. Bush and Iraqi PM Nouri Maliki are due to meet in Jordan next week to discuss Iraqi security.

U.S. military authorities have reported that three Marines were killed in the western province of Anbar on Wednesday.

Seriously, where is he?  With all this crap going on in Baghdad, with the airport supposedly closed now, does anybody really know where he is?

Can’t wait until his ticker gives out.  Then we won’t have to worry about where he is.  We’ll know—hell.

The sue-n-slide Islamic bomber pays a stand-up visit. Certain to strike some rigmarole bone, I’m sure.  Better he visit to bring home our soldiers since the insurgents are in their last throes and all. Mission (short for martyr operation) Accomplished!

Perhaps he has been “disappeared,” for as it is said, “Hope sprints eternal in the human breast.”

If I were Dick Cheney, and everyone in Iraq knew that I was responsible for all the shit that is going on there right now, I would’t tell anyone I was in Bagdad either.

It’s an interesting commentary on this shady, secretive vice-president that no one in a position to know can verify exactly where he is right now.
