Iran Hangs Gay Man in Public

A gay Iranian man was hanged in the western city of Kermanshah’s “Freedom Square” on charges of sodomy.

  • A wake-up call: The bigotry of the U.S. Catholic Church toward gays pales in comparison to the homicidal intolerance of other cultures worldwide.

    Iran in Focus:

TEHRAN—A gay Iranian man was hanged in public on Tuesday in the western city of Kermanshah on the charge of sodomy.

Shahab Darvishi was charged with organising a “corruption ring,” deliberate assault, and “lavat,” which means homosexual relationship between two men or sodomy, the official news agency IRNA reported.

Darvishi was hanged in the evening in Kermanshah’s “Freedom Square” in front of hundreds of people, the report said.

What happens when being gay becomes the norm? People stop having children. Do the elites in Iran want there people to slowly die out. The percentage of birthrates (amongst whites) fall in countrys that have a pro-gay attitude. So mayby persians are a ancient, educated and enlightned people after all.

But was he put in a human size shredder?

There has been a steady reporting of the reactionary nature of Irans theocracy. We know that ---and we know we will be hearing nothing positive out of Iran.  Every piece of agit prop needs to be exposed. The purpose of this is to promote war.

The only other report I can find on this incident carries the headline “Convicted man publicly hanged for sodomy, battering”. Iranfocus does not mention the battering.

The views expressed by almost all the Evangelicals in the U.S., and they have a following of millions, condemn gay relationships. In fact Jerry Falwell I believe argued the 9/11 was a result of the evil of gay and lesbian relationships.
Iran’s opposition to such relationships is of course reprehensible, but their views are no different to the Evangelicals.

A word of caution. The source of this story, Iranfocus, is a front for MEK and is known to promulgate disinformation. Google Iranfocus MEK for more information.

I can’t think of anything more hypocritically insane than to hang a man for sodomy in “Freedom Square.”

You learn something every day. I’ve always thought of the Persians (Iranians) as an ancient, educated and enlightened culture. How could I have been so misinformed?
