Bush and Pelosi
From CNN

California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi during her meeting with President Bush.

Using body language suggestive of Gloria Steinem squaring off with Larry Flynt, presumed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took her first post-election meeting with President Bush.

According to Pelosi, they dined on a pasta dish—a nod to the congresswoman’s Italian heritage—before opening themselves up to the cameras and engaging in what may have been the least comfortable handshake in modern American political history.

Nancy, now that you’re in the driver’s seat and President Bush has to play nice with you, we know it’s going to be tempting to fall under the spell of the commander in chief. Don’t.

>>>She’s a political carnivore

Good, But her political ideology is way right of center.  Why should progressives be happy?. The USA is still a far right Nation.  Relatively conservative people like Bernie Sanders calls himself a socialist yet he is not to the left of FDR.  FDR was centrist.  His wife was slightly to his left and Henry Wallace was left of center but no flaming radical.  Who in American politics is left of center and has any real position of influence?  I can’t think of any!

What does progressive mean in the USA?

Gloria Stienem has more in common with Larry Flint than Ms. Pelosi does with Dubya.  Larry Flint, though an unabashed pornographer, has long been a crusader for First Amendment rights and has been a beacon of light, shining on the unbelievable hypocracy of the Republican Religious Wrong.

Above all, Nancy is a lady. But don’t be misled by her dazzling smile. She’s a political carnivore. Mess with her and you’ll lose a leg.

Most important at a time like this: she’ll be a terrific House Speaker.

Hey, at least he didn’t start massaging her neck. She should’ve kicked him in the balls.

Nancy, please be careful.  Don’t trust Bush any further than you can throw the Capital Building.  Remember that he only does what will bring him the most money.  The super rich for whom he has saved Billions in taxes will make him super rich in short order after he goes out of office.  With enough push he might be persuaded to resign so he could start collecting.
When the history books are written, I believe Bush will qualify as the leader of the most corrupt administration in the history of this country.

The most powerful message Nancy could have given would have been to not shake hands with bush.

This handshake gesture is a very powerful one and even more powerful if it not given.

There was a story out of the NW where an employee was paid 1/4 of a million dollars to shake his managers hand. Surely there is more detail to this story, but this is how strongly people (especially white men) feel about this gesture.

Don’t wash, don’t sterilize, simply DON’T SHAKE.

Are the soldiers who died in Iraq able to shake hands with bush? Are the people who died during the 9/11 atrocities able to shake hands with bush?
Are the victims who died in New Orleans able to shake hands with bush?

In the name of those people, bush should not get a hand shake…from any American

I’m sure Madam Speaker (YEAH!)was a bit suspect that the shrub might grope her ala Chancellor Merkle.  That fear has a high ick factor.

She should have punched him in the face.  The only thing the Republican troglodytes understand is physical violence.  Perhaps a well-placed bitch-slap would have woken the idiot up.  At least it would have been fun.

I am certain Nancy will be polite, civil, and all of the other liberal virtues. I am certain she will not get dirty, only progressives do.
