Is the GOP Using Robo-Calls to Depress Turnout?Posted on Nov 7, 2006In Nebraska, it appears GOP operatives are blanketing residents with “robo-calls” containing the Democratic candidate’s voice—in order to get voters so angry with the Dem that they vote against him.

It’s definately illegal, but the Do Not Call list exempts political groups from lawsuit and complaint. (Because politicians made it, of course.)

I propose a class-action lawsuit against the RNC for violating any and all laws pertaining to these non-stop robo-calls.
Surely anyone registered with the federal do-not-call list (I’m on it) would have a case here.
Wouldn’t all these stories about fake voter guides and constant phone calls qualify as crimes under the RICOH Act?
Any attorneys out there willing to take a stab at at this?

Damn right, throw them in jail! The fact that this type of voter suppression/intimidation is happening across the country fairly SCREAMS conspiracy. And we call the Mafia organized crime! They look like small-time franchisees next to the people so blatantly pulling this shit.
