‘Values’ Conference Includes Attack on ‘Faggots’

ThinkProgress lifts the lid on a weekend “Values Voter Summit” conference attended by the likes of Tony Snow, Alberto Gonzales and Sen. George Allen. One speaker, the founder of a ministry (for God’s sake), reminisced about the halcyon days of his youth when he lambasted weak-kneed people as “faggots.”

Think Progress:

This weekend, some of the nations leading conservatives from Tony Snow and Attorney General Gonzales to Sen. George Allen (R-VA) and Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AK) to Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity appeared at the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit.

An hour and a half after Snow’s speech, Bishop Wellington Boone, founder of the Wellington Boone Ministries, took the stage and announced, “I want the gays mad at me.” Boone said that while the gays are “saying a few things” about him, they’re not coming at me strong.” In an effort to change that, Boone declared:

“Back in the days when I was a kid, and we see guys that don’t stand strong on principle, we call them faggots.”

I don’t have much to say to this asshole:

Foley makes you all hypocrits.

What happily consenting adults do is NONE OF ANYONE ELSE’S FRIGGIN’ BUSINESS!

“Lifting the lid” was a very good description of investigating this extremely sleazy conference. These people congregate and stew together nicely and produce the human equivalent of what you’d find in a container at the back of an abandoned refrigerator.

A hefty application of brain bleach and good blast of fresh air and daylight to show exactly what these people are all about (and I use the term ‘people’ lightly) would go a long way towards cleaning them out.

“Back in the days when I was a kid, and we see guys that don’t stand strong on principle, we call them faggots.”
...and it is as stupid today as it was then.

The Bishop has the “sissies” and faggots in his scriptured sights. Have to hand it to him he’s one tough bigot. Hope he doesn’t get “hot” and declare persecution war on Muslim gays. His head rolling down the aisle in front of his congregation might create a “chillin” effect on them, and the attendees at the Value Conference. I hate it when freedom of speech is contravened.

One can only feel pity and remorse for Mr. Boone.
He reflects what our nation has come to. The decay runs deep in our nation and in Mr. Boone’s
soul.

“bush is gay”

Oh, jeez, I hope not, Jeff. You wanna give gays a bad name?

Gays clearly contribute positively to society… they’re often intelligent, creative, colorful, interesting and compassionate human beings.

George W. Bush’s demonstrated GENUINE character traits include NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Hell, if it wasn’t for the leadership and courage of gay people, the anally-retentive so-called “straight” midget-minds in Congress would still be dithering about investing in AIDS research.

Gays’ only major fault seems to be that they delight in enjoying their human sexuality. For SHAME! This simply cannot be tolerated in America.
