Truthout had always held an edge over other progressive web sites for its superior comment posting system. I hope your new comment system is a work in progress, and not the final take, because at the moment it is a jumble. Pity you did not beta test it better before launching it.

Commenting issues on Huffington Post are much more serious and deliberate. Huffington Post censors comments critical of Israel, especially those favoring palestinians.

Sorry, but I think Huffington Post’s problem with commentary is much greater that just the recent deletion of blogging comments. I have noted that over the past few months that comments are being omitted, while we receive notes from Huffington Post that our comments are not appropriate. It is a slap in the face to those of us who do not write incendiary commentary, nor make false allegations, nor disparage others inappropriately. Personally, I find that blogging on Truthdig is a far better experience. So my suggestion to you editorial staff is that you review the practices of those you have chosen to act as reviewers. Because, your reviewing process makes no sense.

I understand that you don’t want a free for all with name calling and so forth. That is a sensible goal however the moderation of all posts has caused some posts to disappear and inhibits robust dialogue. It seems to me that some sort of compromise should be available.
