Gov’t Report: We Don’t Know Jack About Iran

Reuters:

The U.S. intelligence community is ill-prepared to assess Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities and its intentions for developing weapons of mass destruction, a congressional report said on Wednesday.

Noting “significant gaps in our knowledge and understanding of the various areas of concern about Iran,” the House Intelligence Committee staff report questioned whether the United States could even effectively engage in talks with Tehran on ways to diffuse tensions.

The Bush administration said it was handling the problem.

Bombs away!

The Rabid Right is in love with the notion that they can bomb all their enemies back to the stone age, but they ignore the fact that their enemies retaliate with guerilla war which can only be won with foot soldiers. They didn’t learn that lesson from Viet Nam, Afghanistan, or Iraq, but nevertheless, they are absolutely convinced it will work with Iran and Syria.

The business of the Military Industrial Complex is war. Whether they win, lose or draw the billions in profits keep rolling in. If that’s their criteria for success, they’re obviously big winners. Never mind the consequences for our country.
