Bush Admits Iraq Had ‘Nothing’ to Do With 9/11

Bush comes clean
From ThinkProgress

Although Bush acknowledged that Iraq played no role in the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, he reaffirmed his decision to invade Iraq because “the best way to defeat resentment is through hope, and the best way to do hope is through a form of government.” Got it?

At his press conference today, the president came refreshingly (although just a tad belatedly) clean about the fact that Iraq played no part whatsoever in the Sept. 11 attacks. Watch it.
A howler from Bush: “Nobody’s ever suggested in this administration that Saddam Hussein ordered the attack.” OK, maybe not in those words, but how ‘bout in these?

Crooks and Liars:

Karl Rove and Dick Cheney are not happy campers today that’s for sure. He admits he was wrong about WMD’s in Iraq and now this.

QUESTION: A lot of the consequences you mentioned for pulling out seem like maybe they never would have been there if we hadn’t gone in. How do you square all of that?

BUSH: I square it because imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein, who had the capacity to make a weapon of mass destruction, who was paying suiciders to kill innocent life, who had relations with Zarqawi.

You know, I’ve heard this theory about, you know, everything was just fine until we arrived [in Iraq] and — you know, the stir-up-the-hornet’s-nest theory. It just doesn’t hold water, as far as I’m concerned.

The terrorists attacked us and killed 3,000 of our citizens before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East. They were …

QUESTION: What did Iraqi have to do with that?

BUSH: What did Iraq have to do with what?

QUESTION: The attacks upon the World Trade Center.

BUSH: Nothing. . . . .Except for it’s part of — and nobody’s ever suggested in this administration that Saddam Hussein ordered the attack. Iraq was a — Iraq — the lesson of September the 11th is: Take threats before they fully materialize…

Jeez,

Bush went on War,
driving a surplus American Economy to a long term continuing deficit,
jeopardizing the lifes of thousands of american soldiers life,
mocking the opinion of the majority of the people Home and abroad, belittling the democracy,
against the advice of UN and other World Organizations .....

.......Ultimately for a bigtime Speculation….

May be this is how a Nazi Hitler could function in a democratic framework.  Hail Geb!

In the excerpt above , Bush says, ” the lesson of September the 11th is: Take threats before they fully materialize ...”

Lebanon, anyone ? Iran and Syria ?  Is this the beginning of a build-up to applying Cheney’s 1 % doctrine to these countries—
“if there is a one % chance, start a pre=emptive war” ?

Wow! Forgive the biblical reference, but what a revelation ... admitting to something almost all of us knew back in ‘03.
Now all he has to do is lie about having consensual sex with an adult intern and we can impeach him.

Someone better come and staple my hands to the desk so I don’t start tearing my hair out by the handfuls.

He doesn’t even remember his lies anymore, or the lies he told to cover them up.

I can’t believe that with all the billions of dollars his oil tycoon friends are making, that someone hasn’t bought this man a new brain….

Side stepping the issues about the reasons to go to war with Iraq, again….Humm, it appears they are trying to win back the people, just before the Nov. elections…...

What next, another homegrown terror plot stopped, just before Nov.  maybe lets say, in October…These guys (Bush Administration) are just sooo full of it, and I can’t believe that some American’s hasn’t seen through their twisted evil minds yet….WORST PRESIDENT EVER

Bush probably doesn’t know where 80 something percent of US troops in Iraq in a Zogby poll got the idea that they are there fighting “because of what happened on 9-11…”

Disgusting.

Sounds like a Israel policy.  A victimization psychosis that justified genocide, and plunder.

Who cares about the connection between Iraq and 9/11.

I want to know more about a Jon Benet connection. If there isn’t one I want someone to make one for me to speculate about anyway.

And I want it, I NEED it, right now.
