Seriously: We won’t be responsible for the above if you try to digest your dinner and this news simultaneously....

Ready? OK: Bush is apparently frustrated that the Iraqi people have not shown greater support for America’s mission in Iraq.

That’s right: Bush is frustrated at the lack of public support for America in Iraq.

Has the man stopped watching even Fox News, and instead installed a one-way walkie-talkie in his brain with Don Rumsfeld on the other end?

N.Y. Times:

WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 — President Bush made clear in a private meeting this week that he was concerned about the lack of progress in Iraq and frustrated that the new Iraqi government — and the Iraqi people — had not shown greater public support for the American mission, participants in the meeting said Tuesday.

Those who attended a Monday lunch at the Pentagon that included the president’s war cabinet and several outside experts said Mr. Bush carefully avoided expressing a clear personal view of the new prime minister of Iraq, Nuri Kamal al-Maliki.

But in what participants described as a telling line of questioning, Mr. Bush did ask each of the academic experts for their assessment of the prime minister’s effectiveness.

“I sensed a frustration with the lack of progress on the bigger picture of Iraq generally — that we continue to lose a lot of lives, it continues to sap our budget,” said one person who attended the meeting. “The president wants the people in Iraq to get more on board to bring success.”

To Yellow Press:

I guess its the pot calling the kettle black:

1)Cutting off a head with a butter knife is a surgical strike by a fanatic: takes one life.

2)Busting heads with F-16’s are also “precision” surgical strikes by mega fanatics: takes thousands of lives.

Who is the greater terrorist?????????
The Indian or the cowboy?

As usual the Bush bashing socialist liberals have things backwards.

President Bush does not have to watch FOX News or any other news program.

FOX News and other news programs watch him.

That should be clear enough, and obvious enough, that even the most programmed socialist liberal should understand it .... well, maybe not all of them .... perhaps one or two.

Don’t blame Murdock—he will switch parties (see: Clinton, Hillary) as easily as he changes nationalities (Australian-English-American).  No, we must look to ourselves.

I think idiots are often surprised by events that life throws at them. G. W. Bush probably believed that Iraqis would be grateful at Sadam Hussain’s de-throning and would instantly form a cohesive, democratic society. Democracies require work & cooperation and lots of citizen participation. Iraqis have never experienced a democracy – only tribal alliances or begrudgingly, the Hussain monarchy. They are not ready for democracy and it will take a lot of training and pushing to convince them to build a democracy – Something that G.W.Bush & his cronies did not realize.

OK Lib’s take it easy.
Our President has every right to be concerned about the Iraqi people’s attitude. Unfortunately only tragic and disheartening stories are told through our everyday media.  Maybe some of these repliers should visit Iraq and see for themselves instead of through the eyes of our media.  It will open your eyes.  You will witness the millions of people living well above their previous lifestyle and are extremely grateful for that.

LOL, better Bush than Gore. If Gore had won we would all be learning arabic right now and wearing turbans or burqas. I imagine the view is pretty good from the cheap seats for all of you, especially when you have the benefit of hindsight.

I also imagine none of you are of Kurdish decent since if you were you would have lost someone when Saddam gassed 180,000 Kurds. Any of you guys seen the “thank you” commercials the Kurdish region of Iraq has been running on national TV?

Wake up and get it, Muslim is not Muslim in the Middle East. The Shiites hate the Sunnis and view them as heretics and vice-versa. You guys only display your lack of intelligence by your constant Bush bashing. Stay of the bong and the tofu. Maybe then you will get an original thought.

If he has stopped watching FOX News...may be he is coming to his senses...He probably is begining to realize that any information obtained from Murdock’s tools of propaganda is based on a different reality. Now, if he can call FCC to cancel Fox Networks’ license for betraying the public trust, his popularity may even go up.

MadelinePelland, No, this man must be removed from office, along with his henchmen, fast! Bush is not only an “embarrassment” he is a danger to the lives ordinary innocent people!!! Nearly 1,300 innocent Lebanese have died, which could have been prevented if this FOOL did not support Israel’s action. He could have insisted Israel halt their attacks and force a diplomatic route. But, no, what this fool really wanted was an all out war with Iran and Syria. We should give thanks Hezbollah had the courage and steadfastness to face up to Israel’s asult on the innocent Lebanese people.
As for Iraq, well what can I add to what everyone already knows, that is those who care to know?
Bush is not only an “embarrassment”, but a war criminal, a traitor to so called “America Values” and Americans, a traitor to American laws and it’s constitution, and an enemy to human decency. What irks me is how Americans can just sits by while this idiot continues to wreck havoc in America and in the Middle East.
Enough is enough. It’s time to get rid of this shameless MONSTER!

You know sometimes there are not words to express the embarrassment this so called president is...you mean to tell me he’s actually surprised and frustrated that after almost 3 years of daily bloodshed of the Iraqi people, no electricity except for maybe a couple of hours a day, no employment, the morgue filling up with more bodies that it can handle on a daily basis and yet this guy is surprised that the Iraqi people are not happy that we are occupying their country....where has he been???Is this guy for real??? I mean it, if this guy is as out of touch as it sounds America is in for big big trouble these next 2 years....This is not funny and this man needs to get a grip and fast!!!!!

I imagine Ol’ George is pretty frustrated with the American people right about now, too!  After all, a majority of us actually believe our government and our President have been lying to us about very important stuff for quite a while!
Even with Karl’s famous spin machine and a totally spineless lapdog Press, us Americans JUST DON’T GET IT!!!  Or maybe, they don’t get it? NAH!!!!  Keep yer fingers crossed for the mid-terms - pray all the Diebold e-voting machines have a simultaneous meltdown the night before the election - Horrors!  We might have to go back to the old ways!!!  Unthinkable!
