It’s the highest number since CNN began polling at the start of the war.

CNN:

Sixty percent of Americans oppose the U.S. war in Iraq, the highest number since polling on the subject began with the commencement of the war in March 2003, according to poll results and trends released Wednesday.

And a majority of poll respondents said they would support the withdrawal of at least some U.S. troops by the end of the year, according to results from the Opinion Research Corporation poll conducted last week on behalf of CNN. The corporation polled 1,047 adult Americans by telephone.

Well - will this make any differance, really?
After all, Bush doesn’t listen to polls, remember?  When God tells you what to do, like bomb innocent humans, why should you listen to unimportant people like the losers who participated in this poll?  If they were important, they’d be on his ‘Pioneer’ list!
When a government systematically refuses to listen to it’s citizens - well, historically, that’s been a very bad thing for everyone involved.  But I think this administration is counting on the past - that the American electorate is apathetic and more interested in the artificial world of TV and video games.  I sure hope they’re wrong!  This latest Lamont/Lieberman overturn may be a signal that people are waking up…Man! That would be great!!!  The babyboomers did change things back when by protesting, questioning and VOTING!!!  We (and all our voting-age children) can do it again - we’ll have to do something about Diebold, but it can be done. I hope…..won’t know ‘til we try! Start registering voters and get all the real facts in a row - these guys won’t give up the golden goose easily. They might have to find a job in this crappy economy! Yeah - some people are doing good (No-bid contracts are GREAT! for the bottom line), but the average citizen, if only by inflation , is worse off than they were in 2000 - remember Ronnie Reagan’s big question?  Everyone needs to ask themselves that today. Then DO something about it. Apathy is killing America.
