Lebanese PM Rejects U.N. Cease-Fire Plan

AP:

Lebanon’s government rejected a U.N. cease-fire plan backed by President Bush on Monday, demanding Israel immediately withdraw even before a peacekeeping force arrives and promising to send 15,000 troops to take control of the Hezbollah stronghold along the border.

Meanwhile, renewed clashes broke out early Tuesday between Hezbollah guerrillas and Israeli forces near the Lebanon-Israel border. Fifteen guerrillas were killed, along with one Israeli soldier, in fighting in the town of Bint Jbail, the army said.

Hezbollah’s television station, Al-Manar, claimed the guerillas had inflicted casualties on Israeli forces near the city of Naqoura. It did not mention the fighting at Bint Jbail.

Why should Lebanon accept a plan that effectively blesses the Israeli annexation of southern Lebanon (now that their 1948-style ethnic cleansing is just about finished)?

Israel is despicable.

Let us all stop Israel. No, we cannot force Israel to stop killing Lebanese children, but we can stop Israel by not buying anything, as well as stop supporting anything, that is Israeli. As for me I’ve already started. I purchase nothing from and/or made in Israel. I walk away from anyone that comes from Israel, or anyone who supports Israel. I do not listen, nor read, anything that concerns Israel or its twisted position. In other words, I will have nothing to do with Israel what so ever. In addition, being American, I will not support anything that is American. Reading this McDonalds, Coca Cola, Levis, etc? I’ve turned my back on America and all that is suppose to be America. In fact, I have influence enough to encourage my employers to seek alternative sources for components, products and services from other sources not American. Will you join me, for the sake of the Lebanese and Palestinian children, and, for the sake of a true peace in the region?
