The king of Jordan, a U.S. ally, has publicly criticized America and Israel over the fighting in Lebanon, and said the only way to achieve peace is to end Israeli occupation of Arab lands.

Apparently the entire Mideast is against America and Israel

BBC:

King Abdullah of Jordan has publicly criticised the United States and Israel over the fighting in Lebanon.

He told Jordanian newspapers he was enraged by the war, and that continued fighting only weakened the voice of Middle East moderates such as himself.

He argued Israel’s attempt to destroy the militant Hezbollah group would not solve problems in the region.

He stressed the only way to achieve peace was to end the Israeli occupation of Arab lands.

King Abdullah is smart…...only ending Isreal’s brutal occupation/quest for ‘greater Isreal’ will help the situation…....the impotent, incompetent boobs of America are absolutelu useless, though sending the Rapturists (We’re all gonna die anyway, right?) as temporary peacekeepers isn’t a bad idea.

Just be wary about sending any US troops to Lebanon to be those “blessed peacemakers.”  They’d have no more luck with Hezbollah than with the insurgents in Iraq.  It’s all a futile Crusades redux.  But if all the Rapturists volunteered to do this, and not send others, it might not be a bad cure for their delusions.  A media diet of Fox and LeHay really does have hallucinatory effects.

“Hundreds of thousands of Shiites chanting ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘Death to America’ marched through the streets of Baghdad’s biggest Shiite district Friday in a show of support for Hezbollah militants battling Israeli troops in Lebanon.”

Israel and the Neocons (Judaic-Christian Fundamentalists) are dragging us into a pissing contest with Muslim Fundamentalists, a contest which is escalating toward “who has the most nukes”!

And the Rapturists are yelling, “Bring it on! God will sort it out when Jesus returns.”

Every sane person in the United States should be doing whatever he or she can in whatever small or large way available to him or her to restore sanity to the leadership of our nation.

The strong must end the cycle of violence ... whether it’s in the home, on the streets, or between nations or sections of nations ... it takes strength to establish peace.

As attributed to a man named Jesus, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.”
