House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said that if he remains in power after the November elections, there will be no action on global warming for the entire 110th Congress, according to Energy and Environment Daily.
Scary enough for you?

ThinkProgress:

Majority Whip Blunt: If I Stay In Charge, Congress Won’t ‘Do Anything Meaningful’ On Climate Change

Today in Energy and Environment Daily (sub. req’d), House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) said that if he remains in power after the November elections, there will be no action on global warming for the entire 110th Congress:

Continued Republican House and Senate majorities would likely mean more of the same on climate. House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said he would oppose global warming mandates if Republicans control the 110th Congress. “I think the information is not adequate yet for us to do anything meaningful,” he said.

Abolition of the two-party system is imperative. The good ol’ boys club has gotten way too ol’. It will take more than one election cycle for sure, and it has to be coupled with complete removal of corporate pay-for-play. In the meantime, many elderly will die, abandoned by a government which is supposed to take care of them, as summers get hotter and hotter. Only an idiot or a Rovian shill would continue to preach hoax after researching climate data. Blunt is toast, literally.

When will the information be adequate to do anything meaningful? Once the polar ice caps have melted? Oh but wait a minute that would mean we’re closer to the end of the world and the good ole rapture when all the christians go to heaven(which doesn’t exist).
And to comment on the other comments. Spinoza has some good points about conservative Democrats. You’re calling Hillary Clinton for what she is. Everyone is always trying to paint her as some kind of liberal when in fact she is the total opposite. You do not compromise on things like abortion or our civil liberties. None of the branches of government are on our side. I saw John Dean on BookTV the other day saying there is no real liberal on the supreme court. I think he’s right. America is going down the toilet.

That doesn’t scare me at all. What does scare me is that so many easily led liberals believe in the myth of global warming. God bless Roy Blunt and his courage in speaking the truth!

Of course he won’t do anything.  He just paid a year’s dues in the Intelligent Design Flat Earth Society.

The trouble is there are too many right wing Democrats, actually it seems to me the majority are right wing.

In terms of voting, yes we need a Democratic congress but we don’t need a right wing congress.  So how do we move the country left?  Here in New York State I will vote for the Green candidate because I am certain the Democrat, the right winger Hillary Clinton will win. We have to vote strategicaly but it is much more important to be out in the streets raising hell and fighting a truly frightful fascism.
