I don’t know what to think. If John Buchanan’s piece is accurate, or as Fox likes to put it, “fair and balanced,” then I’m stunned and will have to fight the battle of my life to keep from sinking into a deep depression from which I’m unlikely to recover.
The only thing that keeps me from becoming a complete “believer” is that I cannot accept that GWB is SMART ENOUGH to pull this off or that the American public is STUPID ENOUGH TO LET HIM.
But I’ve been wrong before.

R.A. Earl posts:
“We wanted Iraqs oil.” {snip} ” Wouldnt it have been a whole lot cheaper just to BUY THE DAMNED OIL IN THE FIRST PLACE?”
Someone once said: “He who controls the world’s resources, controls the world.”
Oil *is* the world’s top energy resource, but I believe the invasion and occupation of Iraq had a more sinister goal, than just “getting Iraqi oil”, since America imports more oil from Mexico than even from Saudi Arabia.
Investigative reporter John Buchanan believes that Bush’s reason for invading Iraq is to see through the dreams of his Nazi-sympathizing grandfather, Prescott Bush, who had started the Bush’s wealth laundering Nazi money, and who, with the Dupont, Remington families, and J.P.Morgan planned to assassinate Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt, and replace America’s Constitutional Democratic Republic with a Nazi Republic.
John Buchanan believes that the evidence shows, that G.W. Bush used the invasion of Iraq—-just like Hitler used the invasion of Poland that started WW II—-to start WW III; to trigger his ready and waiting presidential order for Martial Law that would suspend all elections so he could remain President, and to make the Bush family not only the most powerful family in America today, but the most powerful family in the world.

This theory is supported with the fact that in May 2008, the already passed Real ID Act will take effect, and all Americans will be required to have radio frequency chips placed in their driver’s licenses, social security cards (Rep. David Dreier is already pushing for a new, photo, computer chipped social security card), credit cards and, while scaring the American public with terrorists streaming through open borders, have chips implanted into our bodies like we do our dogs these days.
It’s all about control. Check out Libertarian Aaron Russo, producer of “Trading Places”, and “The Rose” at his website at:

It’s long passed time America wakes up, and vote the Republican Congress OUT so that checks and balances can be restored, and prevent Bush from realizing his family’s “dream”.

Exactly. Now they say “See? These horrible people are obviously in need of our civilizing occupation for the indefinite future!”

R.A.—The U.S. WAS buying oil from Iraq, under the demonised “oil-for-food” programme. America had an advantage in buying Iraqi oil because it provided U.S. government subsidised agricultural products in exchange. Approximately 20% of U.S. oil imports before the current war came from Iraq. Because the U.S. imports more than half its oil, that meant 10% of all the petrol Americans pumped into their SUVs was supplied by Saddam!
As for Matthews, it might seem a cause for optimism that he realises Iran is the only winner from the U.S. invasion of Iraq. More and more right-wingers like Matthews are seeing this. However, this realisation will play into the clamour for war with Iran. They will begin screaming that the Shi’ite monster swallowing the Mideast must be stopped before it destabliises America’s friends in Israel and Saudi Arabia. And the only way to stop Iran will be to attack it with nuclear weapons.
Do you realise the United States is going to be the only country in the history of humanity to kill people with atomic weapons not once (Japan in 1945); not twice (the “dirty bombs” tipped with radioactive “depleted uranium” that you have been scattering everywhere) but three times? History will regard the United States as a monster that murdered millions with radioactivity, if there is anyone left alive to write history books.

If the powers that be had integrity, they would have used the power of the dollar to find leverage to make life better for the people of Iraq. But, they wanted war. War is profit, and it is the ultimate high for the demented.
Now with the Israeli slaughter of so many civilians being justified by what was really a pin prick, we are falling deeper into that hell hole of a world at war.
In a time when humanity is facing so many converging catastrophes we should not spending our energy on war and corporate greed. We are quickly approaching that point of no return which will result in a world mostly populated by insects.

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!
I don’t think Sir Walter Scott likely had our current monumental deceptions in mind when he penned these words, but fit they do!
We wanted Iraq’s oil. So instead of just calling up Saddam and playing “Let’s Make A Deal” the US administration chose to LIE and to DECEIVE. Hope they’re enjoying their “tangled web.” NO ONE ELSE IS!
Wouldn’t it have been a whole lot cheaper just to BUY THE DAMNED OIL IN THE FIRST PLACE?
