British Break With Bush Over Israel

Criticizing the U.S. for the first time in the Lebanon crisis, the UK’s foreign minister found fault with Israel’s military tactics and urged America to “understand” the price being paid by ordinary Lebanese civilians.

The Observer:

Britain dramatically broke ranks with George Bush last night over the Lebanon crisis, publicly criticising Israel’s military tactics and urging America to ‘understand’ the price being paid by ordinary Lebanese civilians.

The remarks, made in Beirut by the Foreign Office minister, Kim Howells, were the first public criticism by this country of Israel’s military campaign, and placed it at odds with Washington’s strong support. The Observer can also reveal that Tony Blair voiced deep concern about the escalating violence during a private telephone conversation with the Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, last week. But sources close to Blair said Olmert had replied that Israel faced a dire security threat from the Hizbollah militia and was determined to do everything necessary to defeat it.

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE/STOP THIS SHIT!

Persons with no moral integrity or personal courage may lead the greatest legions the earth has ever known yet all their efforts will come to naught.

If the means are walls, guns and fear this shall also represent the end.

Each person, religious body and governing council from London to Lebanon, Baghdad to Tel Aviv, Beijing to Washington should commence their daily prayers and deliberations stating that the desired destiny is to leave their children World Peace.

As individuals we might, at twelve noon each day, wherever we might be,  celebrate the goal of World Peace by singing or humming:

“ALL WE ARE SAYING, IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE”
BE A GOOD FELLOW GEORGE, GO BACK TO YOUR RANCH

STOP THIS SHIT ! STOP THIS SHIT ! STOP THIS SHIT.!

“ALL WE ARE SAYING, IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE”
DO THE RIGHT THING GEORGE, RETIRE TO YOUR RANCH.
