The practice of posting the home address of someone targeted for supposed offenses (like being a member of the ACLU), until now practiced mainly by hate groups, has been embraced by “mainstream” pundits like Michelle Malkin and David Horowitz.


Glenn Greenwald:

... This thuggish tactic of intimidation—publicly railing against someone’s grave crimes and then publishing their home address—has been creeping out of the most extremist precincts on the Right and is becoming increasingly common among mainstream right-wing individuals and organizations.

This isn’t only a tactic of the right. A bunch of editors at a newspaper in Santa Barbara quit after newsroom employees there were disciplined for printing actor Robb Lowe’s home address. He is friends with the publisher.
