Poll: Evangelicals Less Popular Than Jewish Presidential Candidates

Among voters quizzed in an L.A. Times / Bloomberg poll, “21% said they would not vote for an evangelical Christian,” whereas only “15% said no to a Jewish presidential candidate.”

Crooks and Liars:

It’s frustrating to see evidence that religious prejudices linger in such large numbers. The traditional bigotry is fading — but has been replaced with newer animus towards other minority faiths

Most traditional barriers to religion in presidential elections have toppled, a new Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll has found. In particular, the survey released today shows that anti-Semitism and anti-Catholicism are fading among voters.

But uneasiness about some religions persists. Thirty-seven percent of those questioned said they would not vote for a Mormon presidential candidate, and 54% said no to the prospect of a Muslim in the White House.

In all, 21% said they would not vote for an evangelical Christian, 15% said no to a Jewish presidential candidate, and 10% said they wouldn’t back a Catholic candidate.

I will say that religion is not a substitute for intelligence and schooling, and I don’t care how many prayers you mumble.

The fact remains that we live in a real world that demands real solutions if we are going to survive in it.

The sole purpose of polls is to show how effective the propaganda is.  corporate tv spreads propaganda daily.  Then it does a poll to see if their lies are effective and to what degree.

The liberals and Jews have been stirring up hatred against Christians for as long as I have been reading them.

Congratulations.  Your propaganda is working.

This is a clear warning to Christians and to Americans.  The propaganda against our religion, traditions, heritage and history is effective.  We should treat attacks upon Christians in the same way that attacks upon Jews are treated.  Christians will end up with the same reputation that Muslims now enjoy if they take this lightly and don’t fight back.

Was Nat Turner a terrorist?  Are Palestinians terrorists?

Propaganda works.  When people realize what is happening they will feel the same way about the liberal propagandists that they now feel about corporate tv “news”.

To paraphrase Tina Turner… What’s RELIGION Got To Do With It?

America and Americans have a lot of potential… for doing good… and for being a complete ass.

England’s head of state, for centuries, has also been the head of the official Christian church of the Country (The Anglican Church). The Queen is apparently a very religious person in private. But PUBLICLY she would NEVER mix her two roles (actually 4 - she’s also head of the armed services and the Commonwealth). She simply knows, as does any educated, self-disciplined person, that the moment you break this fundamental RULE, you’ve let the genie out of the bottle and your troubles have begun.

So BOTH the HEAD OF STATE, and the PEOPLE of the United Kingdom, understand that it is imperative to keep religion and politics COMPLETELY SEPARATE because mixing them leads only to misery for everyone. HISTORY has shown this to be true for MILLENNIA.

So why, by everything that’s holy, do otherwise supposedly intelligent people in America insist on mixing the two all the way to the Oval office?

There must be something in the water… so many can’t be that STUPID… can they?
