Hollywood Studio Produces Ad Against Suicide BombingPosted on Jun 21, 2006
A Hollywood studio and a Lebanese production company have produced a $1-million public service ad aimed at discouraging suicide bombings. Their funding came from “an independent, non-governmental group of scholars, non-political people,” according to an exec. (Via Huff Po)

Non-governmental scholars drop $1M on PSAs all the time.
Surely Karen Hughes had nothing to do with this.
Not a bad thing, of course, but a more futile expenditure of $1M is hard to imagine.
Oh yeah. Any Halliburton cost-plus contract.

One further question… hands up those who believe that a generation raised on the LIES and HALF-TRUTHS that constitute TV ads 24/7 are suddenly going to take this message seriously?
I suggest the only hands up are from those who also think ads promoting abstinence are working to decrease the numbers engaging in sexual relations.
How do such stupid, unsupportable notions find even more gullible supporters with a MILLION BUCKS to blow?
