It’s good to be the former president

AP:

Life after the White House has proven lucrative for former President Clinton, who made nearly $7.5 million in speaking fees last year and sometimes earned as much as $350,000 for a single appearance.

Clinton earned a staggering $650,000 for just two appearances in two days before major gatherings in Canada by motivational speaker Tony Robbins, according to the financial disclosure report filed Wednesday by his wife, New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

As a senator, Mrs. Clinton is required to report her spouse’s income as well as her own.

Considering that Mr. Clinton earned about $35,000 a year as governor and came from very humble beginnings, and don’t forget the legal fees for the eight years of false accusation hell, it is nice to see the man earn some serious income.

He also works very seriously on securing lower cost drugs for AIDS in Africa, other charity works to improve his New York neighbors conditions in Harlem, and globe trotting from one hellish situation to another.

I miss Mr. Clinton.  And I am amazed at how this brilliant man is still treated like white trash by Washington,D.C. the most unforgiving town to those that are not “their kind.”

Do you mean to say that they actually shelled out $7,500,000,00.00 to that red nose bogus clown last year? Just to get up spout off a bunch of his patent bullshit?? I call that damn good money considering he’s yesterday’s Political papers, along with his charming and gracious wife. If that’s the case, how much did they pay tired ass Al Gore to put people to sleep? $3,500,00.00? The whole damn thing’s priceless.
