I seriously disagree with the idea that we will have a police state ... it is already here fellow citizens!
I was shocked beyond words when I read this article published by the CATO Insitute ... after all they are one of the most conservative groups in our country… but even they have recognized the clear danger of this adminstration.

Time for us to reach out across the aisle and go the distance to protect the constitution and the bill of rights.

Machiavelli stated that “Once The Prince elects to close the fist, he may then count on relaxing it as his undoing.”

Around the coffee tables of America, there is little doubt that the government can bust down the doors and arrest any of us on trumped up charges any time they want. Little do our leaders care about the personal rights or desires of the American public. This era will go down in history as a blackmark on American Government if not the precursor to the end of it.
Republican legistlators are up in arms because a search warrant was issued to search one of their colleagues offices - not because they give one wit about him, but because the Secret Police might be at their office next if they oppose the presidents policies. A few years ago we read about scenes like this in communist Russia.
It seems strange that after all the Republican corruption that has been uncovered of late, that suddenly a DEMOCRAT is outed for the measly sum of 100,000 in cash. Most of the republicans have millions of dollars in support from their big business cronies, and most of those payoffs fly right by the smell test for corruption. Suddenly a democrat(Black One) is outed, and not only can the Secret Police Leak all the details of an ongoing criminal investigation, but they can also confirm that Republicans are not under investigation . Now, Some of the FBI Secret Police are threatening to resign. Are these guys doing their job? They are supposed to let the courts answer these questions. Gonzales should step down because of Political Bias right now. The FBI should not be used as a political tool. If Jefferson is guilty, congress should disclipline him, and criminal charges can be brought against him after they examine the charges. It seems to me, that $100,000 in cash in the freezer of someone elected to one of the highest offices of the land is probably pretty common, but less common than having a relative or son-in-law appointed to a high paying job at some fat corporation. Free vacations, sweet real estate deals, and after-government-service jobs at lobbying firms are much more common than some political operative from the FBI finding cash in their political opponent’s Fridge. The question should really be framed differently. Q: “How did this democrat get this money? A: from the secret police

Thats a nice summary of mad power grab that the top 1% of america, the people who run the republican party, are up to. I might add that they do not only have America in their sights. The entire planet is also in their sights. By outspending the rest of the entire planet on defense, and crushing countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq like bugs, the rest of the world is sent a signal. Pax Americana. The Republican party elite shall rule the world now and forever. Which of course fits nicely with the Republicans ruling the U.S. forever through their police state.

“2. “The Long War”
This little piece of clumsy marketing died off quickly, but it gave away what many already suspected: the War on Terror will never end, nor is it meant to end. It is designed to be perpetual. As with the War on Drugs, it outlines a goal that can never be fully attained”
This eerily mirrors my own conclusion that the right-wing is not a place, its a direction on a journey that is forever just getting underway.
