What’s this business about being worried about increased polarization from the rise of a religious left? Contrariwise, if a born-again religious left increases polarization, what a blessing that’ll be for America, because it’ll show that us peace and freedom supporters aren’t caving-in to the religious right. What we need is yet more polarization. Confidence, peace and freedom lovers. After all, justice is on our side.

Actually, it is shame that one cannot feel and act with empathy without religion’s mantle.

The religious left isn’t rising again. It never fell. It’s just that it was ignored by the rest of the left and the media.
