The British attorney general says the continued existence of the U.S. detention camp at Guantanamo Bay is “unacceptable.”

BBC:

The Attorney General, Lord Goldsmith, has called for the closure of the US detention camp at Guantanamo Bay.

He is reported to have serious doubts about whether the indefinite detention of “enemy combatants” is legal or fair.

In a speech in London, he said the camp had become a symbol of injustice and its existence was “unacceptable”.

You do know, by posting what the British attorney general said, that means you will now be officially designated a suspected terrorist and risk being thrown into a hole with no protection from habeas corpus or legal representation, don’t you? The NSA will pounce all over your phone activities, the FBI will send investigators, and maybe you’ll be one of the first to visit one of those new detention facilities they are building. In other words, you are now a traitor and unpatriotic. RIP America.
