The spy agency’s executive director, Kyle “Dusty” Foggo, is under investigation in connection with a scandal involving the Watergate hotel, hookers and poker parties.

AP:

WASHINGTON - The FBI is investigating whether the No. 3 official at the CIA improperly intervened in the award of contracts to a businessman who has been implicated in a congressional bribery scandal, a law enforcement official said Monday.

CIA Executive Director Kyle “Dusty” Foggo already was under investigation by the agency’s inspector general in connection with his relationship to San Diego businessman Brent Wilkes.

The FBI recently opened its own probe of Foggo, a longtime and close friend of Wilkes, the official said, speaking only on condition of anonymity because the investigation is under way.

Foggo has decided to retire from the CIA following the resignation last Friday of CIA Director Porter Goss, an intelligence official said Monday, also speaking on condition of anonymity. The official noted that new CIA directors have traditionally chosen their own executive directors, who run the agency’s day-to-day operations.

Check out the tpmmuckraker.com post on General Hayden at:

http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/000581.php

“While director of the National Security Agency, Gen. Michael V. Hayden contracted the services of a top executive at the company at the center of the Cunningham bribery scandal, according to two former employees of the company.”

This is gonna get pretty hairy before we are through. The Bush Administration must be literally falling apart to have to nominate this guy for head of the CIA!

Do you think all those “best and brightest” people will have to retract anything about what a brilliant leader General Hayden is?
