U.S. Hasn’t Curbed Torture: ReportPosted on May 3, 2006Amnesty International’s report says the U.S. has failed to eradicate “widespread” torture in its jails in Iraq, Afghanistan and Cuba. Also, no senior U.S. officials have been held accountable for the practices.

No senior U.S. officials have been held accountable because they keep blaming the problem on the soldiers. The American soldiers are taught to follow orders and Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, and other superior officers are telling them to torture prisoners. Unless the left takes control of Congress in November, Bush and his regime will continue to get away with it.
