Rolling Stone
From the Drudge Report

Rolling Stone is reportedly set to run the above cover.

The magazine is said to be on the verge of running a story in which a leading American historian concludes that the Bush presidency “appears headed for colossal historical disgrace.”

Rolling Stone is becoming relevant again with many good recent pieces as well as the excellent regular features by Matt Taibbi. I would love to see this although the posting on the Fudge report is nothing more than bait for right wing activist trolls.

“appears headed for colossal historical disgrace.”

I would consider this to be the understatement of the century.

It IS a colossal historical disgrace.

Since the majority of Rolling Stone readers are probably too young to know anything about Carter or Johnson, this should sway them

Hans
Our arrogance only comes from years of kick yours and others butts militarily, economically, and influentially.  US arrogance is only exceeded by US humbleness.

Better artwork would be Uncle Sam in full outfit sitting on the stool, with George W. Bush as a puppet on his knee. I agree with the first commenter; the country at large is to blame. “Nobody is guilty, but everybody’s to blame.”

Americans lack historical grounding and understanding. We’re driving at full speed in a car that has PLYWOOD FOR WINDOWS and when we run into something we wonder why the world hates us for putting trees beside the road.

Hey “Hans”... That sounds like a German name. I’ve heard that ALL Germans are nazis and love Hitler. What? Not the case? Oh, was I lumping you in with a group of people you have nothing to do with? Oops. Kind of like when you accused half of our country of electing Bush when we did not.

Generalization is for the ignorant, Hans. Please try harder next time to use your intellect instead of letting drool run out of your mouth.

Don’t forget folks, you are the ones that elected this fool for your president and twice!
Frankly, W is actually a good representative of the US population. I’ve met so many Americans with the same arrogance, ignorance, patriotism and religious zeal that it is unfair for the rest of the world to hide your national character behind some more likeable, intelligent representative.

Bravo!
