Bush’s Job Approval Rating at All Time Low

Only 36% of the public approves of Bush’s performance,  according to an Ap-Ipsos poll released Friday. The GOP-led Congress fared even worse, with an approval rating of only 30%.  Nixon’s numbers were in the high 20s during the Watergate scandal.  What’s the magic number for regime change?

L.A. Times

President Bush’s approval ratings hit a series of new lows in an AP-Ipsos poll that also shows Republicans surrendering their advantage on national security—grim election-year news for a party struggling to stay in power.

Democratic leaders predicted they will seize control of one or both chambers of Congress in November. Republicans said they feared the worst unless the political landscape quickly changes.

I have been a conservative my whole life, but I cannot support this president.  He’s not even in the neighborhood of reason.  I part ways with him on immigration (I say send illegals packing and let’s take care of our own), growing governemnt, Iraq, war on terror (what a joke), protection for big business, sending US jobs overseas, etc…  I’m voting democrats for congress this year, if only to put a leash on this traitor that does not deserve the address of 1600 Penn.

I hope the dissatisfaction is enough to move America to a more progressive and liberal direction.

I feel like I keep repeating myself, but I predict that the Bush admin. will do something desperate. That desperate thing, I am afraid, will have to be an attack on Iran. But, more than a one-time attack, they will have to do something that they can sustain through some period of time, like occupying part of that country.

Either before elections ‘06 or after, they will need something to thoroughly distract from investigations and subpoenas by a house of Congress controlled by Democrats.

In any case we will definitely see some kind of showdown with refusals to cooperate and ignoring of subpoenas. Anyone ready for U.S. Marshals on the White House steps?

“Republicans said they fear the worst unless political landscape quickly changes.”  Given the criminal element in the WH that’s one ominous statement.
