Bush and Andy Card
From radified.com

Card informs Bush of the second plane hitting the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The president famously spent the next seven minutes alternatively staring off into space or reading aloud from “My Pet Goat” to a classroom of schoolchildren.

Andrew Card, who has held the position since president first took office, will be replaced with Joshua Bolten, a longtime Bush aide and current budget director. Card had come under pressure to step down in recent months as the president’s poll numbers continued their precipitous drop.

Also, Sen. Charles Schumer on the resignation: “Simply rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic by replacing Andy Card with Josh Bolten without a dramatic change in policy will not right this ship.”

Check out a great cartoon on the resignation.

N.Y. Times:

WASHINGTON, March 28—President Bush today announced the resignation of his chief of staff, Andrew H. Card Jr., in the first major staffing change of his troubled second term.

Mr. Card will be replaced by Joshua Bolten, a long-time Bush adviser who is now the budget director.

At a brief, televised Oval Office ceremony, Mr. Bush said that Mr. Card had approached him “and raised the possibility of stepping down.”

“He thought it might be time to return to private life,” Mr. Bush said, adding that he had decided last weekend to accept Mr. Card’s resignation.

Pressured to step down in recent months?  By whom?  I’d really like to know.  Maybe we can convince those same folks to point their frustrations at another person…or persons.  At the very least, I can think of quite a few people.

Another rat jumps ship.
The SS Bush is going down in flames.
Card will be most remembered for that iconic moment on 9/11 when he whispers in W’s ear.  Maybe someday when he’s on the stand under oath we’ll learn what he really said.

Get up-to-speed on 9/11 Truth.

The 9/11 Truth movement is gaining momentum.  With recent and continuing national coverage on CNN, the truth about the events of that day have come into question.  Polls suggest that many, possibly even most, Americans no longer buy the official myth of 9/11.  Even is you still believe the official line, the fact that so many people do not, and are saying so publicly, is news.  Like it or not, the 9/11 Truth movement is national news.

If you want to get up to speed on the topic quickly here’s a good place to start:

Here are two facts:

1: No steel building has ever collapsed from fire. Not one, in the entire history of skyscrapers, not one.

2: Hundreds of buildings have collapsed to the ground in a manner almost identical to the three collapsed buildings that day. Every one of them was by controlled demolition.

Those are the facts. You’ll have to draw your own conclusions.  For help may I suggest the following sites:

If you are only going to look at one page of 9/11Truth, look here:

The truth of 9/11 is coming out.  It cannot be stopped.

“Card had come under pressure to step down in recent months as the presidentÂ’s poll numbers continued their precipitous drop.”

I think they’re asking the wrong guy to resign.
