Grant Money Flowing to Conservatives on Social Issues

Bush has funneled over $157 million to ideological allies via faith-based initiatives and other programs.

Washington Post:

For years, conservatives have complained about what they saw as the liberal tilt of federal grant money. Taxpayer funds went to abortion rights groups such as Planned Parenthood to promote birth control, and groups closely aligned with the AFL-CIO got Labor Department grants to run worker-training programs.

In the Bush administration, conservatives are discovering that turnabout is fair play: Millions of dollars in taxpayer funds have flowed to groups that support President Bush’s agenda on abortion and other social issues.

Under the auspices of its religion-based initiatives and other federal programs, the administration has funneled at least $157 million in grants to organizations run by political and ideological allies, according to federal grant documents and interviews.

Face it, we’re all lying face down on the mattres with our hand ties behind us.  Our eyes have been blindfolded and our mouths tapes shut.  Every republican member of Congress and the president have lined up and they are raping us again and again.  The Democrats sit on a couch watching.  Russ Feingold gets up but is pulled down by his fellow Democrats.  “They’ll get tired sooner or later” whispers Hillary.  “Yeah besides, she looks like she’s enjoying it” laughs Senator Joe.  Every once in awhile a Republican starts shuffling toward the door.  That’s when Cheney steps in with a whip and nods back toward the line.  The republican dutifully shuffles back into line.  Some police show up eventually due to the racket.  They draw their guns and order the Republicans to stop.  Then the commanders phone rings.  He answers it.  “Yeah? Oh, ok” he says.  “Ok boys”, he says to the officers, “get in line, your turns are coming up”.  They get in line.  Meanwhile we are bleeding and battered.  We are screaming for help but no one hears our cries through the tape on our mouths.  When will it end, we cry.  A voice whispers very close to our ear “three more years” it says.  Tears soak the blindfold and our mouths fill with vomit.  Three more years.
